CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is a heavily flawed game. At launch, the open-world RPG had glaring bugs and glitches, as well as performance problems that have led the company to offer refunds to people who've bought the game already. However, Cyberpunk 2077 is still fun to play - problems and all.

Until all the bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 are fixed, the game will continue to be a bit of a mess. However, some of those bugs can make the game fun - especially if players can have a sense of humor about the whole thing. Night City is an interesting place to explore, and glitches that cause cars to spiral out of thin air can add a bit of mystery to something as simple as walking down the sidewalk.

Combat is still a lot of fun in Cyberpunk 2077, especially if players opt for melee builds or Mantis Blades. Gameplay mechanics like hacking, scanning the environment, and Braindances are all entertaining parts of the game. The characters in Night City are a diverse, flawed, and complicated crowd - but almost all of the main characters are well-written. For those who want to seek refunds, that's a totally understandable option - but for anyone who wants to keep Cyberpunk 2077,  the game can be a lot of fun. In fact, seeing all the weird bugs and glitches other players are finding in the game can be kind of enjoyable.

How Bugs & Glitches Make Cyberpunk 2077 Fun

There are plenty of bugs and glitches that make Cyberpunk 2077 a silly mess. There are pixelated NPCs that look like potatoes dressed in futuristic chic, faces that disappear completely and leave only eyes and hair behind, and body parts that seemingly disappear at random. One glitch causes genitals to fall out of character's clothes, and another can give Cyberpunk players an unexpected companion named Dum Dum (which is kind of ironic). For anyone who wants to experience a game as messed up as Cyberpunk 2077, there's still plenty of fun to be had.

It's understandable that players looking for a great, immersive RPG are disappointed by the unpolished quality of Cyberpunk 2077. The game is definitely flawed. But for those who own the game already, there's something grotesquely fun about seeing all the weird bugs and glitches for yourself. Cyberpunk 2077 might just be one of the glitchiest AAA games to release in recent memory, and that in and of itself is worth experiencing.

The PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 is more stable than console editions, and can offer players a lot of enjoyment if they remember to save often and try to avoid picking up too many items in Cyberpunk 2077's open world. For console people who don't have a macabre fascination for checking out the game, then it's probably just best to wait until Cyberpunk gets patched. But, especially for people who own the game already, Cyberpunk 2077 can still be a lot of fun - especially if they have a sense of humor about its many problems.
