The CW announces its midseason 2019 line-up, featuring return dates for Arrow, The Flash, and more. Winter marks two newly scheduled series, as well as the return of fan favorites, including Riverdale, Supernatural, and the Arrowverse. Fall newcomers All American, Vampire Diaries spin-off Legacies, and Charmed are set to return as well, and Winter/Spring also marks the final seasons of Jane The VirginCrazy Ex-Girlfriend, and iZombie.

For many CW junkies, the return of the Arrowverse shows will be the most exciting, as they'll presumably follow the events of the Elseworlds crossover scheduled for December 9-11. While the trailer hasn't arrived yet, it's known that Superman and Lois Lane will be in the event, and a growing line-up of big DC allies and villains will be part of the biggest crossover battle yet. Charmed, which shares Sunday nights with Supergirl, has been given a full 22-episode season, while All American and Legacies will consist of 16 episodes eachMeanwhile in Riverdale, the spiraling investigation into the Gargoyle King may result in a major winter finale reveal, just as season 2's dropped a bombshell about the Black Hood.

Arrowverse Elseworlds Set Photos

The series premiere for Ruby Rose's Batwoman, who is set to be introduced in Elseworlds, hasn't been announced, and neither has a midseason return for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which hit a series low with its Fall premiere rating. iZombie and The 100 are set to premiere at some point in the Spring.

The series finales of beloved network staples like Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will put considerable pressure on their successors, but also open up some more opportunities. The network's early confidence in three of its new shows means that if their ratings hold up, they will likely to go on to get a stronger season 2 spot in Fall 2019. The extensive hype built up around Batwoman indicates that it also has a good chance at getting a long-term spot. Batwoman and Supergirl may even air back to back at some point, and if they both do well, Charmed may be given a spot next to Legacies, since they're both supernatural series. What's more than likely is that The CW will bring no shortage of action, drama, and dropped jaws to its Fall finales, as usual.
