A new CW sizzle reel, which includes Gotham Knights season 1, has revealed a first look at the Court of Owls. While the Arrowverse is slowly reaching its end, The CW still has a new DC TV show coming out this year. From the writers and producers of Batwoman, Gotham Knights mark the network's latest DC entry for the 2022-2023 TV season. While sharing a title, Gotham Knights has no ties to the video game that was released in 2022. The DC TV drama is also not meant to be a direct Batwoman spinoff, nor does it have ties to the Arrowverse.

Gotham Knights are currently slated to premiere on Tuesday, March 14th, at 9 PM on The CW, right after the Superman & Lois season 3 premiere. The CW is pairing the two shows up as part of their "Super Knights" block for its Tuesday programming.

The Court Of Owls on The CW

As several shows are coming back next month, The CW (via TV Promos) recently ran a new sizzle reel to promote their programming slate. During the footage, a first look at the villainous organization, the Court of Owls, was seen. This marks the proper confirmation that the evil group is making its way into the new DC TV drama. With the Court of Owls seemingly confirmed, it does increase the odds of the mysterious assassins being a Talon.

How Gotham Knights Are Using The Court Of Owls

Gotham Knights Series Premiere Review

With this footage being the first time the Court of Owls is clearly seen as having some involvement in Gotham Knights, this does raise a lot of questions about some of the season 1 plot points. The premise of Gotham Knights is that Bruce Wayne is mysteriously murdered while also being revealed to be Batman to the rest of the world. When his adoptive son Turner Hayes and several children of Batman's enemies are framed for Bruce's murder, they are forced to find ways to clear their names.

An ongoing theory is that the Court of Owls may or may not have had some involvement with Bruce's murder. This would make the most sense, given how powerful the Court of Owls is as power players of Gotham City. Gotham Knights did also cast Damon Dayoub as Lincoln March, who has ties to the Court of Owls in the comics. As the show gets closer to its launch, perhaps more previews of the Court of Owls will be shown leading up to the March 14th premiere.

The fact that Gotham Knights is doing the Court of Owls is huge, as this will be their second live-action incarnation on TV. After being shown on Gotham, it will be intriguing to see how The CW drama will tackle this organization, especially in a post-Batman world. With only a few more weeks to go, fans will soon know what to expect from the Court of Owls on Gotham Knights.
