The odd man out of the big four networks, The CW, announced six new shows at its upfront presentation. Newcomers include Hart of Dixie, H8R, The Secret Circle and Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer.

The CW is continuing to play to its strengths with female-focused scripted and reality shows. Some of its popular regulars will remain, including 90210, Gossip Girl and Nikita. At least one scripted show is gone: the cheerleader drama Hellcats.

Confirmed New Series

Ringer: A doppleganger series starring experienced vampire slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar. A young woman flees her pursuers by impersonating her late twin, only to find out that her sister was also being targeted. Peter Traugott, of Samantha Who? will be producing. The show was formerly a project for sister station CBS.

The Secret Circle: Yet another supernatural show from The CW. Young witches are growing up and discovering their powers in addition to managing the hellish conditions of high school - think Charmed meets Mean Girls. Stars include Brittany Robertson (Scream 4), Thomas Dekker of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Gale Harold of the recently shelved Hellcats (see below).

Hart of Dixie: Starring The OC's Rachel Bilson, this new southern series follows a New York City doctor who takes over an inherited clinic (wait for it) deep in the heart of Dixie. The pilot was written by Leila Gerstein, who also served the same duties on The O.C., Gossip Girl and Eli Stone.

H8R: A reality show that unites reality TV stars with the people that despise them the most. Guests for the pilot are Kim Kardashian and Jersey Shore's Snooki, with Extra front man and former Saved By The Bell hunk Mario Lopez hosting.

The Frame: a Big Brother competitor with a minimalist twist, the new show forces couples to live apart from each other for eight weeks with nothing but digital video communications. The seperated partners must also resist the temptations of their likewise restricted roommates.

ReModeled: A more business-centric companion to The CW's breakout reality hit America's Next Top Model. Paul Fisher unites small modeling agencies to empower models and shed light on agencies that have previously been looked over.
