Assassin’s Creed has recently been testing new formula when it comes to player characters. The two most recent installments allow the player the ability to progress the story as a female or a male protagonist. With the addition of the “Let the Animus Decide” option in Ubisoft’s newest blockbuster Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, players have been given the option to see England from the point of view of the female and male Eivor depending on the strength of the DNA during the sequence of events. Unlike previous editions of the franchise, the player character will change genders depending on the area of the story that the player finds themselves in. This was a disappointment for some players, as Eivor remains female throughout the main storyline and is male Eivor when in Asgard. There are many key reasons for this that players may learn by completing the base game. This guide will assist players in changing Eivor’s appearance in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Tattoo and Hair Customization

Besides choosing which sex Eivor is, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla offers many options in customizing Eivor’s appearance. Players have many ways of making their Viking god their own with tattoo and hair customizations that when combined drastically change Eivor’s appearance. Players can change their tattoo and hair customizations at the Tattoo Shop in Raventhorpe.

Players can not only change the hairstyle on their head but also add beard styles and head tattoos. Tattoos can be placed on various parts of Eivors body, including the chest, back, arms, and face. Due to being Wolf-Kissed, Eivor will not allow tattoos on the section with the scar. Eivor states this when interacting with a tattoo designer in the game. Throughout Eivors exploration of England, players will be able to acquire more through side events, including chasing pages of tattoo art, and merchants. These customization options are not available for Jomsviking; however, and these characters are currently limited to equipment customization. Regardless, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is sure to please players with an interest in Viking culture.
