Star and executive producer of Curb Your Enthusiasm Jeff Garlin says that creator Larry David may only do one more season of the series. The HBO comedy stars David as a fictionalized version of himself, the successful co-creator of Seinfeld and a curmudgeon who is not afraid to speak his mind. The show also stars Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Ted Danson, Cheryl Hines, and Richard Lewis, and explores the minuscule social conventions through the eyes of David's character. The series was renewed for an eleventh season not long after the tenth season finished airing and has increasingly become popular among fans, while also receiving critical acclaim and garnering many awards and nominations for David and the show.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on the air since 2000, but has gradually taken longer breaks as the seasons went on with the show releasing a season every two years starting from season 4, with the exception of a long six-year hiatus between seasons 8 and 9. Since the end of season 8, there has been trepidation about whether each season of Curb Your Enthusiasm would end up being the last and luckily, David would announce that an upcoming season would be in the works. But eventually, all great things must come to an end and it might be the case for the series.

Per UPROXX, Garlin said in an interview on the podcast The Tim Dillon Show that he thinks that the comedy will be nearing its end sooner rather than later. Garlin plays Jeff Greene, who is David's manager and friend on the show, and has been creatively involved with the series. Garlin also splits his time between the show and his starring role on The Goldbergs and comments that his workload is consuming, while empathizing with David's own title as the showrunner and lead actor on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Garlin goes on to comment:

"It [working on The Goldbergs and Curb Your Enthusiasm] rips me apart. And the equivalent happens to Larry, cause he’s in every scene, working every day, having to be there at 6:30 in the morning. I don’t know if physically he can do more than, let’s say another season. I think he could do another, I don’t know if he has two in him.”

Certainly being a showrunner of any series is immensely challenging especially for one that has had eleven seasons and is filmed entirely with improvisation. During the six-year gap, David has shared the same kind of uncertainty on whether he wanted to another season of the series and Garlin gives a lot of insight on what David goes through during production, which is probably the reason for the longer intervals in between the seasons.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on for almost two decades and is considered one of the most iconic and funniest comedies on television. While Garlin does give his opinion on the situation, it is ultimately David's call on whether the series will have more seasons in the future. David has been known to not give definitive answers on his work and the show is known for always going its own route and not adhering to standards, so perhaps even if David does think that Curb Your Enthusiasm may be over for a certain time, things can always change many years down the road.
