The critically acclaimed Curb Your Enthusiasm details Larry David's constant and never-ending battle with the modern world and everyone he crosses paths with. Never afraid to speak his mind, without any filter or regard for those around him... often to his own detriment. A simultaneously admirable and irritating quality. Like a proficient whistler.

However being on the air for twenty years, spanning 98 episodes (at the time of writing) it was inevitable that some continuity errors slipped through the gaps. Long shoots, tired actors or simply human errors. It's time to get pedantic, tedious and nit-picky - here are 10 continuity errors you might have missed.

The Blonde At The Buffet

Season 8 episode 5, "Vow of Silence", features a scene taking place in the buffet queue at Susie and Jeff's party. Whilst queuing Larry notices a blonde ahead of him performing what he describes as a "chat-and-cut." And of course, an argument ensues. After much discussion, she then uses her techniques to steal a place behind Larry, for which she earns his respect.

However, if viewers pay close attention to Brian it is clear to see that in one shot he has food on his plate and in the next, the food is gone.

The Long Meeting

In typical Larry David fashion, a meeting with Jason Alexander at his office turns into a heated argument about having a meeting. The hilarious exchange keeps even the most eagle-eyed viewer engage and unaware that by the end of the argument it has become night. Despite the fact that it was clearly a sunny afternoon, but in the space of this conversation, lasting only a couple of minutes it has become night.

Featured in the season 2 episode "Thor", it is clear that this simple scene took a long time to shoot, it can only be assumed that both actors had difficulty getting through the ludicrous dialogue.

The Moving Jacket

Here Larry drops by on Krazee-Eyez Killer and ends up touring his home. Larry is then convinced to try on a cream jacket and so takes off his black jacket and tries on the cream one, dropping his black jacket to the floor in the process. However, when Larry leaves, the black jacket is hanging up on a hook.

It a simple enough error and featured in season 3 episode 8, "Krazee-Eyed Killer." Perhaps Krazzee-Eyez has a maid that covertly scurries around with the grace and poise of a shadow clocked ninja. That seems unlikely, probably just a continuity error.

The Freak Book

Featured in season 6 episode 5, "The Freak Book", the freak book in question begins life as a hardback with a dust cover, a gift anyone would surely be glad to receive. But at the end of the episode, Larry is thrown out of a party, and the book is featured again, this time the hardback is gone and replaced with a softcover.

It's a strange continuity error and one without an obvious explanation. Perhaps the original prop was lost or damaged? Or a simple production mistake? It's not a big deal, definitely not freaky.

Chicken L'Orange

One of the more peculiar entries on this list, this error features in two episodes of season 1. Episode 4 "The Bracelet" and episode 7 "AAMCO." Here a homeless man thanks Larry for the Chicken L'Orange he gave him. Larry accepts this gracefully, which of course lands him in hot water.

However, Larry doesn't actually give the homeless man the chicken until episode 7. It's a strange reality-bending, time-altering error that is a pretty big deal and not as pedantic as other entries on this list. You can't help but wonder what the explanation is. Is Larry a Time Lord?

Doll Haircut

Here Larry gives a doll a haircut. An unusual act but not a Larry David unusual thing to do. It's clear to see that he begins by cutting the doll's hair with a swiss army knife, but then in the next shot, he is cutting the doll's hair with a pair of scissors.

The scene featured in season 2 episode 7 "The Doll", and when all is said and done isn't a pair of scissors a better tool to cut a doll's hair than a swiss army knife? That not rhetorical. It really is.

Funkhouser's Mother

A more baffling continuity error, spanning multiple episodes including season 4 episode 4 "The Weatherman" and season 6 episode 3 "The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial." In "The Weatherman" Funkhouser establishes that his mother has passed away and has been dead for some ten years now.

But in season 6 it is revealed that she has just recently passed away, after an accident while driving her wheelchair. Clearly, this information is conflicting and is more confusing as her death is a key component of the episode. It seems the writer simply forgot. It's understandable given the show's many episodes and seasons, but a little frustrating.

The Hair

In season 5 episode 2, "The Bowtie", Larry is attempting to hire Omar Jones as a private investigator, who is initially reluctant. He finally accepts the case by the end of the episode despite his previous misgivings. This is Larry David after all. Moments later they meet outside Omar's office and now his hair is noticeably shorter.

It's clear that both these elements were shot on different days, perhaps even out of sequence as is the case with many productions. With all that said, this is a fairly inoffensive mistake as far as continuity errors go.

The Shoes

Featured in one of the earlies episodes, season 1 episode 2 "Ted & Mary". The episode opens on Larry, Cheryl, Ted and, Mary enjoying an evening at the bowling alley, which goes off without a hitch. Larry for once doesn't say anything stupid or make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Cheryl collects a pair of black shoes from the front desk and moves out of shot, but then when she returns she mysteriously isn't wearing black shoes. She's wearing a pair of white shoes. Clearly, they didn't expect or intend for her feet to be on camera.

The Brownies

Larry and Cheryl are hosting Richard Lewis and his new girlfriend who he is very fond of, much to the annoyance of Larry. Things move into the lounge during the course of the evening and sharp-eyed viewers will notice a plate of brownies on the table. The strange thing is the number of brownies varies from shot to shot. Sometimes showing 5 brownies, and other times showing 7 brownies.

Food is always tough to deal with in film or tv (looking at you ice cream), shoots are long and sets often warm. It's understandable and a simple production error.
