Paradox Interactive has announced that the next Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings 3 will be Fate of Iberia, and it's due to launch in May. The first major DLC for Crusader Kings 3 was the Royal Court, which added throne rooms and advantages related to treasure and the deeds performed by the leader of the nation, but the game also receives smaller DLC Flavor Packs, centered around different cultures.

The first Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings 3 was called Northern Lords and it was related to the Norse culture. In this Flavor Pack, Norse characters could leave their home and establish a new kingdom on foreign soil. Norse holy warriors and shieldmaidens were added as units, different Norse cultural events were included, such as trials by combat, a new historical bookmark was added, new artwork and music were added, and more. The Northern Lords DLC for Crusader Kings 3 added a lot of content to the game, especially for those who want to create their own Viking empire.

The next Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings 3 has been announced. Paradox Interactive has revealed that the next Flavor Pack is Fate of Iberia, which is focused on Medieval Spain and Portugal. A trailer for the DLC is available now on the official Paradox Interactive YouTube channel. Fate of Iberia will launch on May 31 and will cost $6.99/£5.19/€6.99, but people who own the Crusader Kings 3 Expansion Pass or Crusader Kings 3: Royal Edition will receive free access to the DLC.

Fate of Iberia will include the new Struggle system, which is a feature that is used to decide the outcome during conflicts and is fully moddable and customizable, as well as new historical events that are connected to the conflicts in Iberia. The DLC will add two Legacy tracks (Urbane and Coterie), new Cultural Traditions that emphasize the history of the Iberian peninsula, new friend interactions, and duels over chess. Fate of Iberia will also feature new artwork reflecting Iberian cultures from the era, including character art and background screens, as well as adding new songs to the Crusader Kings 3 soundtrack. Crusader Kings 3 will receive a free DLC update when Fate of Iberia launches, adding the Heads of Faith faction type that can challenge the player. There will also be a new historical bookmark added to Crusader Kings 3 intended for Iberian characters, which will start at 867 AD.

The world of Crusader Kings 3 was already huge at launch, offering many hours of playtime with the content in the base game. It seems the developers will follow Crusader Kings 2's example and add a ton of post-launch support, offering players many different cultures to choose from, and letting them tailor their Medieval rulership campaign as they see fit. Crusader Kings 3 was beloved by critics at launch, and hopefully the game is only going to get better with each expansion.
