Several new anime series and seasons are coming to Crunchyroll. Some of the offerings include Hell's Paradise and the second season of The Ancient Magus' Bride. These series have been much anticipated by fans and are just scratching the surface of what fans can expect for 2023.

This year's newest anime acquisitions were announced by Crunchyroll at Anime NYC, during the company's panel. These upcoming projects come from the following animation studios: MAPPA, Felix Film, Passione, Studio Kafka, Zero-G, Studio Blanc, and Geek Toys. These studios work has included several series, including Attack on Titan Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, The Ancient Magus' Bride, Otherside Picnic, Nekopara (Cats Paradise), High School DxD Hero, Science Fell in Love So I Tried to Prove It, and Plunderer. Anime fans will have a lot to look forward to in the near future.

Crunchyroll's announcement for 2023 included an expected arrival for the second season of The Ancient Magus' Bride, which is coming in April 2023 after a switch from WIT Studio's work on the first season. Additionally, Hell's Paradise will be coming to the streaming service in 2023, though a month was not specified in Crunchyroll's announcement. Additional offerings include Yuri is My Job!, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, Dead Mount Death Play, AYAKA, and Saving 80,000 Gold In Another World For my Retirement.

Anime Excitement Begins in January 2023

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague will be one of the first series to debut in the coming year. The series is based on the fantasy romcom manga of the same name, which was created by Miyuki Tonogaya. This series will blend developing romantic feelings with ice abilities that will make Frozen's Elsa look like she was always in control. Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World For my Retirement will also debut in January. Inspired by the web novel on the self-publishing site, Shosetsuka ni Narou. The novel has over 120 million views and focuses on Mitsuha, who has a "World Jumping" ability. She jumps between her world and an isekai world as she tries to save money in both.

In the Spring, anime fans will be able to look forward to the second season of The Ancient Magus' Bride, Dead Mount Death Play, and Yuri is My Job! The first two series will debut in April, while Yuri is My Job! has not yet received a confirmed month for release. The Ancient Magus' Bride anime adaptation first aired in 2017, so this second season has been a long time coming. Dead Mount Death Play features a hero facing a "corpse god necromancer" who surprises the hero with reincarnation magic. Also based on a manga series, this reincarnation noir fantasy is directed by Manabu Ono, who previously worked on Sword Art Online. The manga series was created by Ryohgo Narita and Shinta Fujimoto. Yuri is My Job! follows Hime, who works at a café in which waitresses pretend to be the students of an all-girl boarding school. It is being adapted from the manga series, which was created by Miman.

Among the titles that have not yet announced a month of release is Hell's Paradise. It follows a shinobi name Gabimaru, who is now a convict after being known as the strongest in Iwagakure. He is set on a quest to find the Elixir of Life so he can be acquitted. It is based on Shueisha's Jump Comics manga of the same name, created by Yuuji Kaku. The series comes from MAPPA, who recently began airing the anime adaptation of the acclaimed Shonen Jump manga, Chainsaw Man. AYAKA also does not have a specified release date. This original series follows Yukito Yanagi, an orphan who meets a strange man. It is written by GoRA who is known for the original series, K. Anime fans can see all of Crunchyroll's new offerings when 2023 begins.
