Fans really got to see the sinister side of Cruella when Glenn Close portrayed the character in the live-action adaptation, 101 Dalmatians in 1996, and the sequel. Close's version took the cake, as Cruella's sinister plan of using puppy dalmatians for a luxurious fur coat was downright evil. With Cruella's conniving laugh, personality, and flare, the character had plenty of memorable lines and scenes in the franchise - as well as outfits.

The Marriage Talk

One of Cruella's most memorable lines from the movie comes from a scene where she is talking to the movie's main character, Anita Campbell-Green (Joely Richardson). Cruella and Anita seem to have a cordial work relationship and even talk about marriage.

Anita says she could only see herself leave her job if she were to get married and have children. Cruella's lines became well known as explains that more women have been lost to marriage than war or disease and Anita had no reason to throw away her talent. The scene stuck with fans as Cruella seemed adamant about what she said. She even gave a sinister smile when Anita assures her she has no prospects for a husband.

Live For Fur

The main character trait about Cruella is her obsession with fur that drives her to think the unthinkable and use dalmatians for a fur coat. Two scenes go hand in hand with Cruella's obsession and sinister mind. Anita suggests making her design in linen, but Cruella gives a firm no that it must be done in fur. She lives for fur.

Cruella's eye bulge as she explains fur is her one true love. The following scene only depicts how evil she can be when she laughs maniacally and tells Anita that the design would make it seem like she was wearing Anita's dogs. No one could fathom wearing puppies as a designer coat, but it's Cruella's true desire.

She'll Buy The Puppies

In a scene prior, Cruella learns that Anita will have a baby and her dalmatians will have puppies. Cruella couldn't care less about the soon-to-be child but has a gleam in her eye about the puppies. In a later scene, Cruella really showcases her rabid need to have the puppies. At Anita's house, she becomes overly excited at the possibility of having 15 puppies for her coat.

Cruella adamantly tries to convince Anita and her husband to sell her the puppies for a whopping 7,500 pounds. The scene show's how little morals Cruella has, and when Anita refuses, she goes mad, calling Anita a fool and firing her. Cruella really isn't the most likable villain to exist in Disney.

Cruella's Fall Out The Window

Near the end of the movie, Cruella's plan to kidnap and use the puppies goes terribly wrong. Cruella takes matters into her own hands at retrieving the puppies - while clad in a luxurious red and black coat. Her obsession takes the better of her, as she sees a raccoon wearing her red hat and warns that him that he will become a hat. Two other raccoons pull a lever dropping Cruella in a vat of molasses.

To make the scene even more memorable, Cruella laughs maniacally until a horse propels her out a window. She just so happens to land a pig's pen. When the police arrive with a warrant for her arrest, she acts coy and asks the officer if there's something wrong.

Puppies & Prison

After the events of the first movie, Cruella is sent to a prison in 102 Dalmatians. The movie's first scene is a sight to behold as Cruella is shown in a small white room in a fashion-forward black and white inmate uniform. What makes the scene so memorable for the character is what she's doing.

Cruella was sent to a prison hoping to treat her for her obsession with fur and dalmatians. The scene shows Cruella laughing joyfully as she's surround by puppy dalmatians. While everyone enjoys a puppy party, audiences couldn't help but be perplexed at the scene of the sinister Cruella.

 Spots Everywhere

Just when audiences thought Cruella was cured of her obsession, it all goes downhill. In the second movie, Cruella is meeting her parole officer, Chloe Simon (Alice Evans). Chloe just so happens to be the owner of one of the dalmatian puppies from the first movie. In Chloe's office, her new puppies escape onto the balcony.

Here is where Cruela goes haywire. As the bell dings a new hour, Cruella's treatment starts to dissipate. In the streets of London, Cruella's twisted obsession with dalmatians manifests. Everyone is seen in white and black spots. The scene is memorable as the cured Ella disappears and the maniacal Cruella returns.

Her Dinner Speech

Audiences really got to see how Cruella can fool others into thinking she's really cured. One memorable moment from the second movie is when she invites Chloe and other guests for dinner at her home with their dogs. In reality, it's a ruse so that her partner can kidnap Chloe's other puppy's from her home.

Not only was Cruella's jaw-dropping red beaded gown a sight for sore eyes but her speech really had everyone fooled. She raises a glass to welcome her guest to her dinner to commemorate how dogs are a spectacular species.  Audiences know that it's all a game for Cruella, even when she laughs at the chaos the dogs create.

Her Bad Driving

It's no surprise that Cruella has a way of driving recklessly. It's comical to watch that Cruella is in no way a fit and proper driver on the road. Once arriving in Paris, she steps on the gas in her black and white car as she speeds down the streets of the city.

What makes the scene such a Cruella moment is her little regard for others on the road. She even says that men are useless behind the road and that traffic is far too slow. She takes shortcuts that no person would dare to do, goes down a street in the opposite direction, and laughs maniacally as she causes crash after crash. In true Cruella fashion, she sees poodles and says the line, "Our next challenge - reinventing the poodle skirt."

Walk The Beam

Cruella really will do anything to capture a puppy - even walk a dangerous beam in stilettos. Cruella is once again on a chase to capture the puppies. One leads her across a metal beam in a cake factory. The scene is memorable based on Cruella alone.

Clad in the very same red and black fur coat from the first movie, Cruella tries to walk across the metal beam to capture the puppy. It's interesting to see this fancy and impeccably dressed woman going to such lengths for her devious plan. Cruella soon stumbles and grabs an electrical wire to catch herself.

Cruella The Cake

Cruella always seems to find herself in the most bizarre situations when she gets arrested. The first movie involved molasses and the second movie involves an even sweeter treat. Seeing as she's in a cake factory, audiences had a good laugh as Cruella becomes a part of the cake-making conveyer belt.

She's doused in dozens of eggs, spun in the mixer, and dumped out and rolled out. It's terrifying yet funny to see Cruella laugh maniacally while covered in the cake batter. The devious character is then dropped into a cake pan and baked. Audiences had a whole-hearted laugh as Cruella wore her best look yet - a three-tier cake with sprinkles and frosting.
