One of the best parts of Critical Role is the overwhelmingly supportive community that's grown alongside the Dungeons & Dragons cast of voice actors. The work they do wouldn't be possible without the fans who make time to watch their weekly streams. Thousands have created some amazing fan art in honor of such a beloved series, and some epic examples are highlighted in this article.

Critical Role's two Homebrew campaigns, Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein, have produced multiple lovable characters, such as the Half-Elf twins Vex and Vax or the Goblin Rogue Nott the Brave. Each persona has gathered a following of fans who've recreated them in their own style. Critical Role has become such a success in the last five years that the animated series The Legend of Vox Machina is currently being developed for Amazon Prime (the title image is a screenshot from the intro to the series).

There is so much talent to be found within the Critical Role community that narrowing down so many great pieces to showoff only a handful of art presents quite a challenge. Thankfully, the Critical Role website continuously features new Critter art to keep one entertained for hours. In the meantime, here are a few epic pieces that are worth more than just a glance. Links are provided to support these gifted artists.

Critical Role: Amazing Dungeons & Dragons Fan Art

Starting off the list is some cute chibi-style art that captures all of the major characters from both campaigns. For reference, the top row contains the Mighty Nein: Caduceus Clay (Firbolg Cleric); Kiri the Kenku child; Fjord (Half-Orc Warlock/Paladin); Jester Lavorre (Tiefling Cleric); Nott the Brave (Goblin Rogue); Caleb Widogast (Human Wizard) with his familiar, Frumpkin; Beauregard "Beau" Lionett (Human Monk); Mollymauk Tealeaf (Tiefling Blood Hunter); and Yasha Nydoorin (Aasimar Barbarian).

The bottom row contains characters from Vox Machina: Shaun Gilmore (Human Sorcerer and merchant); Percival "Percy" de Rolo (Human Fighter - Gunslinger); Trinket the bear and his companion Vex'ahlia Vessar (Half-Elf Ranger); Vax'ildan Vessar (Half-Elf Rogue); Keyleth of the Air Ashari (Half-Elf Druid Circle of the Moon); Grog Strongjaw (Goliath Barbarian); Pike Trickfoot (Gnome Cleric); and Scanlan Shorthalt (Gnome Bard).

This awesome piece illustrates the Mighty Nein facing off against Gelidon, the Nightmare in Ivory - an ancient white dragon from the 2nd campaign. The expressions on the characters' faces are what one may expect when confronted with such a ferocious-looking creature. The Aasimar Druid on the far right is Reani, played by Critical Role guest star Mica Burton.

Here is a realistic depiction of the Mighty Nein's Nott the Brave and Traveler-loving Jester sneaking some sweets. It perfectly portrays these two mischievous - though lovable - characters. Nott is known for her sticky fingers and love of trinkets while pastry-loving Jester wields a giant lollipop for a weapon.

This amazing collage of Vox Machina is compiled of Critical Role portraits by talented artist Mikandii. The level of detail and use of color is truly hypnotizing, and it portrays the level of high fantasy expected from a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. It's always nice to see some Critter art of Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer as well, as seen with his enchanted dice.

This dynamic piece features the Mighty Nein's Fjord the Half-Orc wielding his falchion in one hand and firing off an Eldritch Blast Warlock cantrip with the other. Dungeons & Dragons battles can be pretty time-consuming, so this reimagining of a swift attack really captures the rapid, fighting spirit.

The Mighty Nein relaxes in Caleb Widogast's Nascent Nein-Sided Tower - a spell created by the Wizard himself which is able to house his friends. It's maintained by Fey cat servants reminiscent of Caleb's Bengal cat familiar, Frumpkin. This gorgeous illustration seems right out of a storybook. These beautiful Critical Role designs are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all of the amazing Critter and other Dungeons & Dragons fan art that's been created over the years.
