Krypton star Cameron Cuffe regrets not getting to take part of The CW's recent Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. In Crisis on Infinite Earths, almost everyone who is anyone in the DC television universe got a chance to become part of one of the most ambitious crossover events in the network's history. Not only did Crisis bring together the complete lineup of The CW's DC-related shows, but it also brought in cameos from classic DC shows and newer DC Universe series, along with a surprise cameo from the recent DC films.

There was one series, though, that did not get a shot at the crossover: Syfy's Krypton. The series told a new story set two generations before Superman came to Earth. Krypton follows Superman's grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), with the main story set on Krypton, well before the planet's destruction. Unfortunately, Syfy canceled Krypton after just two seasons. However, there were still plans to somehow include Cuffe in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event with a nod to Krypton. In the end, though, Cuffe couldn't make it work due to scheduling conflicts.

Recently, Cuffe took to Twitter to state his love for DC Comics, as well as his regret in not being able to make it into Crisis on Infinite Earths:

Syfy's abrupt cancellation of Krypton left many fans, as well as the show's cast and crew, scratching their heads. Not only did Krypton season 2 introduce Lobo, but the plan was to have Lobo eventually get his own series. Since then, Syfy has put the Lobo spinoff idea on hold. Krypton had also begun to introduce more familiar Superman characters, giving fans more to look forward to. The season 2 finale left a lot of unanswered questions, presumably to be answered in season 3. However, Syfy's decision to cancel the series means those questions will most likely remain unanswered.

Meanwhile, on The CW, Crisis on Infinite Earths has rebooted the entire universe of DC TV shows. This week's episodes feature Supergirl, Batwoman and Black Lightning all dealing with the fallout of Crisis on Infinite Earths, with a lot of oddities popping up after their universes merged. It will be interesting to see more effects of Crisis on Infinite Earths throughout this season, as well as see how these heroes deal with it. It's still, however, a pity that Krypton didn't get a final nod during the event, too.
