Arrow's Oliver Queen is all bloodied up in a behind-the-scenes photo from Crisis on Infinite Earths. Premiering in two weeks, Arrow season 8 serves as the final outing for the longtime show, and directly ties into the massive Crisis event.

The CW superhero shows have always been popular, but they have seen considerable mainstream attention thanks to Crisis on Infinite Earths. Not only is the event bringing together the established characters, but it's going to feature characters such as Tom Welling's Superman from Smallville and Huntress from the obscure Birds of Prey show. It's an unprecedented event in television history. However, longtime fans of the Arrowverse are likely engaged in intense discussions over the final season of Arrow, the show that started this shared universe. A trailer was recently released, showcasing the return of familiar characters. Oliver Queen is fated to die during the Crisis, according to the Monitor, so fans are discussing if that will actually happen. One thing is for sure: Oliver is not going down without a fight.

Arrow star Stephen Amell has posted a behind-the-scenes photo of him bloodied up. According to the tweet, this takes place at some point during Crisis on Infinite Earths. The specific context is anyone's guess. Check out the tweet and photo below.

There is a lot of mystery surrounding Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the role Oliver Queen will play. Some may guess that he leads the heroes against the Anti-Monitor, and even delivers the final arrow. Perhaps he fights Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash, which would be a callback to their brief conflict in The Flash season 1. Everything is up in the air, but fans won't have to wait much longer to find out the fate of the hero.

Although Arrow is ending, that doesn't mean the world of Star City will no longer be visited. The CW is reportedly developing a series starring the daughter of Oliver, Mia Smoak. It remains to be seen if it will officially be given the green light. In the meantime, fans will be glued to the screen to see how Arrow's final season will play out. Although Oliver will surely be heavily involved in Crisis on Infinite Earths, there appears to be a bunch of things going on in Star City for him to take care of. Arrow looks to truly go out with a bang.

Arrow season 8 premieres October 15 on The CW.
