New Crisis on Infinite Earths images reveal Kevin Conroy as Batman in the Arrowverse crossover. The CW's Arrowverse franchise has expanded in recent years to include not only the network's flagship DC show, Arrow, but many more, including The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning and Batwoman. Though The CW has done crossovers in the past, for the first time, all series will unite in the massive event titled Crisis on Infinite Earths.
But the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover won't only include heroes from The CW's shows, it will also include actors from other DC movies and TV shows. For instance, Smallville's Tom Welling is returning as Superman for the crossover, while Legends of Tomorrow actor Brandon Routh will play Kingdom Come Superman and the Arrowverse's own Superman Tyler Hoechlin will suit up. Additionally, Burt Ward, who played Robin in the 60s Batman TV show, will appear. Another Batman actor set to join Crisis on Infinite Earths is Conroy, who's voiced Bruce Wayne in a number of animated projects, including Batman Beyond. Now fans can get their first look at Conroy making the jump to live-action for Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Today, EW released a new batch of Crisis on Infinite Earths images, including a first look at Conroy as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, additional looks at Routh as Kingdom Come Superman, and more. Check out the images below.
More to come...
In addition to Routh and Conroy, the images feature Welling as Clark Kent. This isn't truly a new look at Welling in Crisis on Infinite Earths since the Arrowverse's Lois Lane actress Elizabeth Tulloch posted a set photo of herself with both Welling and Hoechlin while they were filming. It's clear from these new images that Tulloch's image was taken the day they were filming these scenes. How exactly it fits together, though, remains to be seen.
It also appears Ruby Rose's Batwoman shares a scene with Conroy's Batman, judging by the lighting of the images, but little else can be gleaned. In fact, it hasn't even been confirmed which version of Batman Conroy is playing; all that's been reported is Conroy is playing Bruce Wayne from the future, though he's likely to be from another Earth's timeline. Considering these images of Conroy were dropped alongside more of Routh's Kingdom Come Superman, it's possible Conroy is playing Kingdom Come Batman.
Considering the event nature of Crisis on Infinite Earths, The CW is understandably keeping a great deal of information close to the vest. As such, fans may have to wait until the episode airs to learn how Conroy's Bruce Wayne fits into Crisis on Infinite Earths. For now, fans will have to make due with their theories based on these new Crisis on Infinite Earths images and what they mean for the Arrowverse.
