A new video highlights every special cameo from the first episode of The CW's 2019 Arrrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earth. The event, which is based on the iconic DC storyline, is honoring the past and present shows based on DC characters. As The CW started building up hype for the crossover early on, several actors from older DC shows (like Smallville and Batman '66) began to book guest spots. The crossover also branched into including some presence from the world of DC films by having Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh suit up as Superman (having previously portrayed the Man of Steel in Superman Returns).

However, Routh will be sporting the Kingdom Come Superman costume that implies where his Man of Steel has ended up after the events of the film. As the Arrowverse heroes join forces for their biggest battle of all time, Easter eggs, cameos and nods are deeply packed into the crossover. Even with everything that has been announced, Crisis on Infinite Earths is already making it clear that more surprises are in store for the viewers.

Supergirl kicked off the crossover and within minutes, it was a smorgasbord of DC surprises. During the Monitor's (LaMonica Garrett) opening monologue, several cameos were revealed as one Earth after another was being destroyed. Via TV Promos, appearances by Batman '89, Titans, and Batman '66 actors establish just how broad the Arrowverse's Multiverse goes. While the cameos are brief, it's still remarkable how far the executive producers went to include as many DC legacy actors as possible.

Some of the cameos even came with tributes to the most famous DC movie theme music. From Danny Elfman's Batman score, the iconic opening credits of Batman '66 to even a brief nod of Titans' theme, it's a major deal. The biggest aspect of these cameos is that this was just part 1 of the ambitious crossover event. There are still four more parts left to air that will include previously-announced appearances by DC veterans.

Crossover showrunner Marc Guggenheim has even confirmed that there are more characters left to be revealed. With Routh's Superman debuting on tonight's Batwoman (which will be part 2 of the crossover), will John Williams' Superman score possibly be heard? If Elfman's Batman score could be used, it wouldn't be a shock if composer Blake Neely and his team worked in the iconic Superman theme into the crossover in some capacity. Fans will have to tune in for the next parts of Crisis on Infinite Earths to find out what other DC surprises will be unleashed as the event continues.
