Arrowverse producer Marc Guggenheim teases a fun surprise planned for the Crisis on Infinite Earths panel at DC FanDome. The upcoming virtual event is DC's answer to last month's Comic-Con. It will feature plenty of reveals about upcoming DC Extended Universe movies, as well as panels for the Arrowverse shows and other DC TV projects. Originally, the entire 24-hour event was scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 22. However, DC FanDome will now be split into two, with the Hall of Heroes events occurring as planned and everything else moving to the weekend of September 12.

The later half of DC FanDome is titled Explore the Multiverse, and will feature panels on Black LightningBatwomanLegends of TomorrowStargirl, and Superman & Lois. That leaves The Flash as the sole Arrowverse panel this weekend. That will be available August 22 at 5:54 p.m., with two encores planned for the next day. However, the Explore the Multiverse portion of the event will also include a section called the InsiderVerse, which will feature behind-the-scenes looks at several Arrowverse pilots. A 15 minute panel for Crisis on Infinite Earths, last season's massive crossover event, is also planned. Like the other panels releasing that weekend, it will be available from September 12 at 1 p.m. to the same time the next day.

Per DC FanDome, those on the Crisis panel will "discuss the detailed and meticulous behind-the-scenes efforts that went into making the mega-crossover event 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' happen." It will also feature "exclusive and insider stories for fans." However, earlier this week, Guggenheim teased another surprise that will be revealed during the panel presentation:

It's hard to speculate on what the surprise will be, since Guggenheim's tweet is purposely vague. However, it could be deleted scenes or other lost content from the crossover. Back in April, Guggenheim mentioned visual effects were completed on some Crisis on Infinite Earths deleted scenes and also teased that would only be done if a release was planned. The crossover's DC FanDome panel would be a high profile place to do that. However, since the panel is relatively short, even one deleted scene would take up a lot of time. Instead, the surprise could be an announcement about the release of the scenes or something completely unrelated.

It speaks to Crisis on Infinite Earths' impact that people are still interested in it so long after its release. It makes sense; not only did it have massive implications for the Arrowverse, it also affected the DC Universe at large. It will be interesting to hear behind-the-scenes details from those involved in the production, as well as whatever treat Guggenheim has up his sleeve.
