Michael Rooker joins the horrifying fun in the new trailer for Creepshow season 3. EC Comics inspired Stephen King and George Romero to create the original anthology-style movie back in 1982. The Walking Dead producer Greg Nicotero later revived Creepshow for the small screen, debuting the first season on Shudder in 2019. The show returned for a second season of ghoulish short stories in 2021.

Nicotero and company thankfully have not yet run out of stories to tell so Creepshow is coming back for another season on Shudder. A newly released Creepshow season 3 trailer gives a taste of the show's gory mayhem, including the expected array of monsters, demons, corpses and creepy humans. There are also some horror homages mixed in, including pretty obvious tributes to The Shining and Phantasm. And Rooker shows up to help out his old TWD friend Nicotero. Among the scares to come as Creepshow unleashes its third season on Shudder is an adaptation of Joe Hill's short story "Mums," which follows a young boy growing up in an anti-government militia commune whose mother dies, leading to some supernatural goings-on. There's also a story called "Skeletons in the Closet" concerning a prop collector who adds to his grisly collection by digging up real skeletons that were used in movies. This story, according to Nicotero, was inspired by legends of real skeletons being used in Dawn of the Dead and Poltergeist. In addition to the aforementioned Rooker, the season 3 cast includes Ethan Embry, James Remar, Reid Scott and Johnathon Schaech. The roster of episode directors includes Rusty Cundieff (Tales From the Hood), John Harrison (Tales from the Darkside), Joe Lynch (Mayhem) and Nicotero himself. Creepshow season 3 debuts on Shudder on September 23, 2021.
