Creepshow is renewed for a third season of streaming scares at Shudder. Released in 1982, the original Creepshow brought the ghoulish tradition of EC horror comics to the big screen with an anthology-style film written by Stephen King and directed by George Romero. A sequel followed in 1987, as well as a third film released direct-to-video in 2007. The Creepshow brand then went on hiatus until 2019 when Shudder debuted their take on the classic horror title, with noted horror names like King, Greg Nicotero and Tom Savini lending their talents to the endeavor. A second season of Creepshow is set to debut on April 1, 2021 on Shudder and AMC+.

Ahead of the arrival of the highly anticipated second season of Creepshow, Deadline reports that AMC Networks and Shudder have already ordered up a third season of the horror anthology show. Executive producer Nicotero indicated that the third season will arrive later in 2021, saying of the renewal, “I’m incredibly thankful to the team at Shudder for the opportunity to continue honoring the genre with more gleefully ghoulish tales over not one, but two new seasons of Creepshow this year.” The third season is expected to contain six episodes.

In addition to the first season proper, Creepshow also released a pair of holiday-related specials in 2020, one on Halloween and the other at Christmas. The upcoming second full season of the show was set to include a story starring notorious shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, but Nicotero and company elected to pull the episode after renewed allegations of sexual assault came out against Manson from Evan Rachel Wood and others. Creepshow season 3 reportedly will feature guest appearances by Ethan Embry (Grace & Frankie) and Andrew Bachelor (The Walking Dead).
