Here’s a quick guide to the main cast and characters of romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians. Based on Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel of the same name, Crazy Rich Asians was brought to the big screen by In The Heights director Jon M. Chu in 2018. The movie tells the tale of a Chinese American NYU professor who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend to attend his best friend’s wedding, only to discover he’s been hiding a big secret from her; his family is insanely wealthy.

Crazy Rich Asians struck gold at the box office, raking in nearly $240 million worldwide and ranking as one of the highest-grossing romantic comedies of all time. The movie was such a success that two sequels – China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems – are currently in the works. Adapted from Kwan’s follow-up novels, the two sequels are predicted to start shooting back-to-back sometime in 2020 with Jon M. Chu returning to direct and most of the original Crazy Rich Asians cast expected to return too.
