The Country Comfort cast is led by Katharine McPhee, but there are other recognizable actors in the series too. Set in the American South, the 2021 Netflix show follows a country music singer who inadvertently becomes a nanny for five children. Country Comfort was created by Miss Congeniality writer Caryn Lucas and follows a woman named Bailey (McPhee), who arrives at a horse ranch called Harmony Hills after her car breaks down.
Throughout the season, Baily bonds with a widower named Beau and his five children, which leads to a temporary job as a nanny. Bailey needs the work after breaking up with her boyfriend/bandmate Boone, but she doesn't make a strong impression upon Beau's girlfriend, Summer. Country Comfort explores Bailey's attempts to jumpstart her music career, and how she slowly becomes part of Beau's family.
The Country Comfort cast includes Eddie Cibrian, who is the real-life husband of country music star LeAnn Rimes. In fact, Rimes even makes a brief cameo midway through the Netflix series, which thematically links to a late-season moment involving McPhee's character. Comedian Janet Varney shines in a supporting role as Beau's girlfriend, and the younger cast members collectively deliver breakout performances while incorporating some Southern twang in their dialogue.
Katharine McPhee As Bailey
Katharine McPhee stars as Bailey, a country music singer who attempts to rebuild her life after being replaced in a band by her own boyfriend. After accepting a nanny position, Bailey evolves into a Godmother-like character for Beau's five children. McPhee was a finalist in American Idol season 5 and then starred as Karen Cartwright in Smash. She also headlined Scorpion as Paige Dineen, and has released five studio albums since 2007.
Eddie Cibrian As Beau
Eddie Cibrian co-stars as Beau in the Netflix show, a widower and the owner of Harmony Hills. He maintains a romantic relationship with Summer but struggles to fully commit, presumably not to upset his children who are still grieving their mother's death. Cibrian portrayed Cole Deschanel in Sunset Beach and Jimmy Doherty in The Watch. He recently appeared as Captain Ryan Slade in Rosewood and Eddie Valetik in Take Two.
Janet Varney As Summer
Janet Varney portrays Summer, Beau's girlfriend who becomes slightly jealous of Bailey. She's kind to Beau's children but realizes that they aren't quite ready for a step-mother. Varney is best known for voicing Korra in The Legend of Korra. She also portrayed Evie Barret in Stan Against Evil and Becca Barbara in You're the Worst.
Eric Balfour As Boone
Eric Balfour appears as Boone, Bailey's ex-boyfriend who shows up throughout the series and tries to re-start their relationship. Balfour portrayed Gabe Dimas in Six Feet Under on HBO and Milo Pressman in 24. He also appeared as Duke Crocker in Haven and starred as Jarrod in Skyline.

Leann Rimes (above) as Herself (Episode 5 Cameo): Rimes is an iconic country musician who rose to fame during the '90s as a teenager. She won The Masked Singer season 4 as The Sun.
Ricardo Hurtado as Tuck: Beau's confident son who often wears a tank-top to show off his physique. Ricardo Hurtado portrayed Freddy Huerta in the School of Rock TV series and Brian McMahon in The Goldbergs.
Jamie Martin Mann as Brody: Beau's lanky son who lacks self-confidence. Jamie Martin Mann makes his TV debut in Country Comfort. He previously had a small role in the 2014 film Boychoir.
Griffin McIntyre as Dylan: Beau's business-savvy youngest son who becomes Bailey's manager. Griffin McIntyre appeared as himself in the 2017 TV series Return of the Mac starring his father Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block.
Shiloh Verrico as Cassidy: Beau's nine-year-old daughter who speaks with a heavy twang. Shiloh Verrico portrayed Maggie in Lingua Franca and Sasha in Manifest. She also appeared as Erika in The Flight Attendant.
Pyper Braun as Chloe: Beau's six-year-old daughter who wears pigtails. Pyper Braun had a small role in Life in Pieces season 4.
Stephanie Styles as April: Summer's sister who leaves her husband at the alter. Stephanie Styles portrayed Kate in Bonding and Autumn in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. She also appeared as Alison in Booksmart and Olivia in Bombshell.
Lilimar Hernandez as Maria: A camerawoman who films a video segment about Bailey. Lilimar Hernandez portrayed Sophie Delarosa in Bella and the Bulldogs and Coco in Hubie Halloween.
Kirrilee Berger as Jo: Brody's neighbor and secret crush who kisses Tuck. Kirrilee Berger portrayed Dannie Furlbee in One Dollar and Amy Bishop in K.C. Undercover. She also appeared as Heidi in Grown-ish.
