Control is a weird game to say the least. Boss fights in the game are difficult for new players who are still trying to get used to all of the mind-bending mechanics at play. For the most part, bosses are unable to be easily defeated due to special tricks. The first boss is a bit different than the others for this reason.

The first boss that players have to defeat is Hiss Corrupted Tommasi. The Corrupted Tommasi appears to be an injured person until he begins flying and shooting objects at the player. This is a boss that is hard to defeat through the usual means, so a good strategy is a must. Here's how to defeat Hiss Corrupted Tommasi in Control.

How To Defeat Hiss Corrupted Tommasi in Control

Players who are new to this game are likely to want to use their awesome telekinesis powers against the Corrupted Tommasi. Against most other enemies, this is a great method of doing a ton of damage. In Tommasi's case, this strategy is flawed. The boss is able to use the same power to send large objects back to the player. This causes a good majority of the player's telekinesis attacks to be ineffective against the boss.

On the other hand, the boss is very vulnerable to bullets. Players should stick to shooting the boss from a distance instead of trying to throw things at him. This is the best way to get some headway at first. The only issue is that players will need to carefully dodge all oncoming projectiles while they shoot at the boss. This can be difficult simply because of the sheer volume of objects being thrown at one time. If the player wishes to stay on their feet, they will need to find constant cover.

For players who don't mind a quick fix, there are a series of barriers set up all over the boss room. Each one has a bunch of tubes sticking out of what looks to be a table. In most cases, players are vulnerable near these, however the one in the direct center can be used as near perfect cover. Players should be able to stand here and fire at the boss as much as they need to without sustaining any damage. After a while, the boss will begin sending guards around the corner to shoot at the player from a closer range. Simply dispatch these enemies as they approach. They are very weak are meant to draw the player out of cover.

Players can also take the risk and run out from behind the cover at various times to collect ammunition and other item drops from the guards. This is dangerous, but may be vital if the player should run low on ammo.
