Season 4 of The Conners is set to add Tony Cavalero of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones to the cast. The Conners is a follow-up series to Roseanne that focuses on the same family after the passing of Roseanne Barr's matriarch. The show premiered in 2018 following the cancellation of Roseanne due to racist comments made by Barr. The Conners cast features John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Emma Kenney, and Lecy Goranson. The fourth season began airing last month with a live episode, and it looks to continue shaking things up with the addition of a new character.

As reported by TVLine, Cavalero, who plays Keefe Chambers on The Righteous Gemstones will be joining The Conners in a recurring role as Harris' new boyfriend, Aldo. Harris, portrayed by Kenney, is the daughter of Darlene and the granddaughter of Dan. Aldo is said to be a tattoo artist and single father to two young boys who works alongside Harris in the same shop. However, Aldo is also described as being relatively older than Harris, which is sure to add some conflict.

Cavalero's casting reunites him with fellow Righteous Gemstones cast mate, John Goodman. Still, Cavalero's resume has seen him tackle a wind range of roles. Most notably, he played Dewey Finn in the School of Rock TV series. While that role was originated by Jack Black in the School of Rock film, leaving big shoes to fill, Cavalero was able to bring a unique take to the character. Cavalero's first appearance on The Conners is slated for the October 13th episode titled, "The Wedding of Dan and Louise," meaning there is only one more episode before his introduction. Audiences can catch The Conners Wednesday nights on ABC.
