Sons of Anarchy and Married: With Children star Katey Sagal will appear on an upcoming episode ABC's Roseanne spinoff The Conners. In its first season on ABC, The Conners has largely held even with this year's Roseanne revival ratings-wise, even if Roseanne Barr herself is no longer a member of the family. Barr's character was of course killed off after the actress was fired in the wake of a racism scandal, and the spinoff has thus far spent a lot of time dealing with the aftermath of the character's off-screen demise.

In order to help fill the void left by Barr, The Conners has enlisted a fairly impressive list of guest stars. So far this season, Mary Steenburgen has guested as the Conners' opioid-swapping neighbor Marcy, Juliette Lewis as David's hippie girlfriend Blue, Justin Long as Darlene's potential love interest Neil and Matthew Broderick as Jackie's uptight boyfriend Peter. A future episode will also feature the return of Sarah Chalke as Andrea, the woman Becky was supposed to act as a surrogate mother for.

That roster of Conners guest-stars has received yet another boost, as veteran actress Katey Sagal has signed on to appear in an upcoming episode. TVLine reports that Sagal will guest on the December 11th episode "O Sister, Where Are Thou?" playing a character named Louise. No other details have been revealed about the character. Sagal herself posted a picture on Twitter showing her taking a seat on the famous Conners couch. See the tweet below:

Sagal of course has plenty of experience when it comes to occupying a famous sitcom couch, as she spent 11 seasons as the over-sexed anti-housewife Peg Bundy on the classic comedy Married: With Children. Sagal is also accomplished in drama, having won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama for her portrayal of the tough-as-nails Gemma on FX's Sons of Anarchy. The actress also played the voice of Leela the one-eyed mutant on the beloved cult animated series Futurama. She was most recently seen on the now-canceled CBS sitcom Superior Donuts.

Though no details have been released about Sagal's Conners character, if the show's pattern holds, there's a good chance she will wind up as a potential love interest for one of the series' regulars. John Goodman's Dan would seemingly be the likely choice to become romantically involved with Sagal's Louise if indeed that is where the show is headed. Dan himself has been dealing with a lot of grief after the sudden death of Roseanne, and in the last episode was seen going reluctantly to a group meeting after the rest of the family became concerned about his depression. A new love interest for Dan would certainly be a major development for the The Conners amid everyone's on-going post-Roseanne blues.
