A new video shows what the possessed doll Annabelle has been doing since quarantine started. Annabelle is a real-life doll that was the sole focus in one of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren's most famous cases. The possessed doll supposedly haunted people in real life but has also been the face of The Conjuring movie franchise since 2013.

Hollywood has had a fascination with movies about haunted dolls for decades, and New Line Cinema continued the trend with their Conjuring universe. Annabelle first appeared in 2013's The Conjuring before appearing in her solo movie, Annabelle, the following year. The horrifying doll returned for The Conjuring 2 as well as two more solo films in 2017 and 2019. Annabelle: Creation explained the origins of the doll, with a malevolent spirit pretending to be Annabelle Higgins, the daughter of a doll maker who was accidentally run over by a car. While the origins of Annabelle are terrifying, Annabelle seems to be a bit more relaxed since the Coronavirus pandemic started.

To celebrate National Doll Day, New Line Cinema posted a fun video showing what Annabelle has been doing since quarantine started. Instead of haunting the office of the studio, Annabelle is enjoying her time off watching her performances in Annabelle Comes Home, sunbathing, playing with an ouija board, and even testing out a VR headset. The humorous video can be seen in full below:

While Annabelle may be having a swell time relaxing in quarantine, the same can't be said for Warner Bros. Warner Bros., along with every other major studio, has had to delay the release of multiple movies, pushing back some big blockbusters, most notably, Christopher Nolan's Tenet. The Conjuring universe was also affected by the pandemic, with The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It being delayed from September 2020 to June 2021. New Line Cinema clearly knows that the video above would get attention since Annabelle is the face of the franchise, but its unlikely fans will see the doll in The Conjuring 3 since the film is based on the murder trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson. The doll had nothing to do with the case, but the doll could possibly make a cameo appearance at some point.

Annabelle has provided a terrifying presence in every film she has appeared in, so it's hilarious to see her doing mundane things that other people stuck in quarantine have probably done as well. Fans are still waiting to get a sneak peek at The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. However, this video from New Line Cinema is a clever way to keep people interested in the series while making fans feel like they can relate to the star of The Conjuring, something fans probably never thought would happen.
