New Conan Game Is Finally Here And We Love Its Trailer

After being in early access for the past 15 months, sandbox RPG Conan Exiles has finally been released. The launch trailer previews some of the game's many features, including enemies, combat, character customization, and the ability to siege other players' castles.

Developed and published by Funcom, Conan Exiles is set in Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age, the world of Conan the Barbarian. The game begins with the player character being rescued by Conan. The player must then find a way to survive in the Exiled Lands while exploring a rich, open world filled with sandstorms, volcanoes, swamps, and snowy mountains. Similar to other open world games like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, any wall or mountain can be scaled, making it possible for the player to go anywhere on the map. As the game revolves around survival, the player can hunt for food, build an empire, fight vicious monsters, and siege castles.

Deep Silver has released a trailer celebrating the launch of Conan Exiles. The trailer shows off the game's open world setting by showing off some of the diverse locations players can visit. The importance of the environment is indicated by the game's dynamic weather system. If the player doesn't dress appropriately, they can get frostbite or sunstroke. As they explore the world, they can equip hundreds of different types of armor and weapons. The game also employs a cooking and crafting system.

The player can also follow in the footsteps of Conan himself by becoming the ruler of a kingdom. The game provides plenty of options for customizing castles. Though players may defend their own fortress with traps, they can also lead attacks on other castles using siege equipment like trebuchets. It's even possible to capture non-playable characters, break their will, and force them into slavery. One assumes crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, and hearing the lamentations of their women is also an option, although that's unconfirmed.

Since the game is commonly played online, players can encounter each other in the world of Conan Exiles. The game's co-op function allows players to work together. For those who prefer to play alone, Conan Exiles does offer a single-player campaign. With the release of the new game, it appears to be a good time to be a Conan fan, as the Cimmerian warrior is set to return to Marvel Comics in 2019 and is having a TV series developed by Amazon.
