'Community' Season 4 Clip Reveals 'Hunger Games' Spoof

Season 4 of ‘Community’ might have been delayed, but NBC is giving disappointed fans at the show's ‘Hunger Games’ Spoof and a meta installment of ‘Troy & Abed in the Morning’.

Community Hunger Games Spoof

NBC may have severely disappointed desperately waiting fans by delaying the season 4 premiere of its hit quirky comedy Community - but that hasn’t stopped the cast and crew from continuously reaching out to their loyal fans and promoting the series.

In a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Community star Joel McHale (who plays sardonic ex-lawyer Jeff Winger) treated the audience to a taste of the upcoming season’s much- anticipated Hunger Games spoof.

The hilarious 30-second clip features a sleeveless Jeff selecting a cross-dressed Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) as his dance partner for a big tango competition. After a quick wardrobe change - with the assistance of two muscular guys rocking unicorn costumes – the two share an intimate dance while discussing the Dean’s academic intentions for Jeff.

The Hunger Games is not the only thing the cast of Community is turning into a joke; after the cult-hit series failed to return last Friday for its scheduled October 19th season 4 premiere, the stars of Communtiy released a special short video to soothe their frustrated fans, by insisting that no matter when the show returns, it’s always October 19… in their hearts.

That satirical minisode features Abed (Danny Pudi) and Troy (Donald Glover) hosting their fake show-within- a-show ‘Troy & Abed in the Morning’ (albeit afternoon this time) explaining that despite the show’s delayed return "October 19 isn't just a date, it's a state of mind," and they will be back "someday".

Enjoy the latest installment of ‘Troy & Abed in the Morning’ which shows that humor is an awesome way to apologize:

Currently it’s not known when Community will return for its fourth season or exactly why the show was pushed back - but this is only the latest in a chain of newsworthy issues to hit the NBC sitcom. Controversy like series creator Dan Harmon being fired earlier this year and star Chevy Chase's most recent on-set outburst has many fans speculating on the fate of their beloved comedy.
