Marvel cosplayers will have a chance to meet with the directors of Avengers: Endgame at a special event at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Endgame initially released in April and quickly became one of the biggest movies of all time. After a re-release, the film is only $7 million away from breaking a box office record set by Avatar in 2009.

Endgame served to wrap up most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3, which then officially ended with this month's Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, Marvel fans are still reeling from events in Endgame - a movie that featured several significant character deaths, as well as a story arc that jumped five years into the MCU's future. As with previous Marvel movies, the film inspired fans all over the world to create their own costumes to cosplay characters from the franchise.

Now those cosplayers will have a chance to meet the directors of Endgame. To celebrate the upcoming digital and Blu-ray release of the film, the IMDboat will host a special event with Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo at SDCC 2019. The two will sit down with Kevin Smith to discuss the film during a special panel on Saturday, July 20. After the panel, Marvel would like to see all Avengers cosplayers join the directors, along with a special surprise guest, for a massive selfie. Those fans will also have a chance to meet the writers of Endgame, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. And if that wasn't enough, they'll get a special MCU- inspired Ben & Jerry's ice cream sundae.

Fans can start gathering at the IMDboat, located at the 5th Avenue Landing Marina, Slip 2B, just behind the convention center, at 1:30 p.m., to watch the live stream of the interview. Only the first 300, though, will get wristbands for ice cream. The cosplay photo with the Russos and special guest happens at 2:00 p.m., with boarding on the boat for ice cream beginning at 2:05 p.m. The event also kicks off the We Love You 3000 tour, which starts at SDCC and ends in Anaheim at D23, which happens August 23-25. Each stop on that tour will include meet and greets, as well as exclusive giveaways and MCU-inspired treats for fans.

Inviting cosplayers, who are among some of the biggest Marvel fans in the universe, to join the SDCC event is certainly an excellent way to thank fans for their dedication over the past decade. It also gives those fans a chance to meet the directors who made Endgame possible and earn Marvel even more goodwill with its supporters going into the next phase of the MCU.
