The official schedule has been revealed for Friday, July 20, at the 2018 International Comic-Con. With Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm not attending SDCC this year (not to mention, big TV shows like HBO's Game of Thrones and Westworld taking a pass), the event promises to be somewhat calmer than it has been in recent years. Nevertheless, San Diego Comic-Con is known as the biggest annual pop culture convention for good reason and there will be more than enough going on to keep attendees busy this year.

Comic-Con International has already released the schedules for Wednesday (Preview Night) and Thursday at this year's SDCC. Many of the panels on those days had already been reported, but now have their locations and time-slots locked into place. The same goes for the Friday schedule, which has also been unveiled.

The biggest panels on Friday will be the movie panels taking place in Hall H in the afternoon. Things will kick-off with Universal Pictures' dual panel for M. Night Shyamalan's Glass and David Gordon Green's Halloween, which will take place from 3:45 - 4:45 pm. Immediately following the Universal panel is Paramount's panel for Bumblebee (the first Transformers movie panel at SDCC ever), from 5-6:00 pm. Sony Pictures will then round out the Hall H movie panels for the day with its dual panel for Venom and the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie, from 6:15-7:15 pm.

Meanwhile, on the TV side of things, SDCC's Friday lineup includes AMC's Hall H panels for its comic book-based TV shows Fear the Walking Dead (11:15 am - 12:15 pm), The Walking Dead (12:15 - 1:15 pm), and Preacher (7:30 - 8:30 pm). Elsewhere, HISTORY's Vikings will get a panel in Ballroom 20 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, followed by a panel for Hulu's J.J. Abrams and Stephen King series Castle Rock (from 12:45 - 2:00 pm), where the first episode will be screened, and the panel for Marvel's Cloak & Dagger from 5:45-6:45 pm. CBS All Access will also takeover Hall H in the early afternoon for its Star Trek: Discovery panel (from 1:30 - 2:30 pm), before the big movie panels get underway. And speaking of movies: those in the mood to see Teen Titans Go! To the Movies a week early can try and catch a screening at the Horton Grand Theatre from 12:00 - 2:00 pm that day.

As jam-packed as Friday is going to be at SDCC, that still leaves a lot of big movie and TV show panels for Saturday. Warner Bros. will host its own Hall H panel that day, in order to promote its upcoming DC Extended Universe movies and MonsterVerse films. Similarly, Fox is expected to take-over Hall H on Saturday for its The Predator panel. Meanwhile, as that's happening, WBTV's Arrowverse panels will be taking place over in Ballroom 20 for a significant chunk of the day.
