Comic-Con 2011: ‘Immortals’ Panel

Immortals Comic-Con Panel

The 3D Immortals trailer from director Tarsem Singh (The Cell) quickly dispelled any notion that the stylized action-epic would simply be "300 with unlimited arrows."

While the films definitely share a lot of similarities, Immortals is not without a few intriguing details of its own - specificially a high-profile leading-man spot for future Superman: Man of Steel, Henry Cavill, who plays Theseus in the film.

While the Immortals panel may not be as highly-anticipated as Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man in Hall H, with cast members Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, director Tarsem Singhin, as well as producers Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton attending, it'll certainly be interesting to hear how the cast and filmmakers intend to establish their sword and shield epic as a premiere film experience - in an industry full of 300 clones.

Plus, as mentioned, with a Comic Con 2011 crowd hungry for Man of Steel details, it'll be a miracle if Cavill gets off the stage without being asked at least one Superman question.
