When former Big Brother winner Cody Calafiore was cast for the new reality show The Traitors, it was assumed that he would succeed; unfortunately, that was not the case. Cody first entered the world of reality TV in 2014 when he competed on Big Brother 16. The then 24-year-old played a strong game, ultimately sending him home with the second-place prize of $50,000. Six years later, Cody returned to the famous house for Big Brother: All-Stars, where he, again, made his way to a seat in the final two chairs on finale night, this time winning the $500,000 grand prize.

There is no doubt that The Traitors Cody Calafiore is a Big Brother legend. Throughout both of his seasons on the hit competition series, Cody proved himself to not only be a competition beast but is also good at having a successful social game. During the All-Star season, Cody put his heart and soul into playing the most strategic game possible. Although it was tiring, this ultimately paid off for him when he won the season by a unanimous jury vote. In doing so, Cody became the second Big Brother winner to receive a unanimous jury vote.

Cody Didn't Come Out A Winner On The Traitors

Due to Cody's ultimate success on both of his Big Brother runs, it was easy to assume he would succeed on any other reality show he might find himself on. Therefore, when Cody was cast for The Traitors, it was assumed he would make it to the end of the game. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Going into the game, Cody wanted to be picked as a traitor, and, to his surprise, he was one of three players chosen as a traitor. While he thought being a traitor would help him succeed in the game, it did the opposite. The overall stress and guilt day after day quickly began affecting Cody's overall gameplay. When competing on Big Brother, it is a group effort to evict a houseguest; however, on The Traitors, it is solely three people that are secretly determining which players' games are coming to an end.

Cody's Time On Big Brother Didn't Help Him On The Traitors

In addition, Cody's past reality TV resume also played a role in his demise on The Traitors. With the cast of The Traitors being made up of half celebrities and half non-celebrities, Cody found himself competing alongside a lot of people that were familiar with his Big Brother success. This put a major target on Cody's back from the start. While this could have also been the case for Cody when competing on Big Brother: All-Stars, he was competing alongside fellow successful Big Brother players. On The Traitors, Cody was competing alongside reality stars who never competed in any competition series, as well as individuals who had never been on a reality series before.

Unfortunately, Cody did not add another reality show win to his successful resume; however, that does not take away from all of the successes he did have over the years. Being one of two Big Brother players to have a unanimous win is something to be proud of. Overall, in the time he did spend on the show, Big Brother legend Cody did play a strong game. Despite his game on The Traitors coming to an early end, Cody can still say he gave the show his best effort.
