The latest Call of Duty: Warzone patch adds the new JAK-12 shotgun and nerfs the SP-R 208 again. Season 6 of Call of Duty began on September 29, and it brought with it some of the most overpowered weapons that the game has seen to date. Infinity Ward has worked fast and implemented new patches in order to tune the AS VAL and the SP-R 208. Of the 2 new weapons, the AS VAL was clearly more bugged, as the 10 round SPP magazine had the potential to kill players through multiple walls without any damage penalty. The SP-R 208 was simply too strong and has already been nerfed along with the AS VAL.

So far, Season 6 and its subsequent updates have provided a host of changes and content for Call of Duty: Warzone players. The new subway system that was added to Verdansk is a huge addition that can quickly take players around the map and away from danger. As for weapons, the AS VAL that was added is an assault rifle with an integral suppressor. The SP-R 208 plays and looks like a sniper, but it's the latest addition to the marksman rifle class.

Call of Duty: Warzone's brand new weapon addition is to the shotgun class. In a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, which was outlined by Polygon, the JAK-12 shotgun was added to the game, and the SP-R 208 was nerfed again in an attempt to bring further balance. Fans of previous Modern Warfare games will recognize the JAK-12 as the AA-12 automatic shotgun. The JAK-12 is the same as its predecessor in most aspects other than in name. Like any other weapons that are added to Call of Duty: Warzone, the JAK-12 must be unlocked through a challenge before it can be equipped in a class. The challenge this time is to get three hip fire kills in seven different matches.

The SP-R 208 was also nerfed again in the Call of Duty: Warzone update. This time there was only a nerf to the range of the SP-R 208, which was a reduction to the minimum damage at range. In a reverse buff, the Kar98K was given an increased minimum damage at range. Previous to this update, the SP-R 208 was nerfed in a few more ways including increased flinch and a slower aim down sight speed. The last major change in the update was for the PC player base. The install files for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can now be individually chosen to save space.

Though the Call of Duty: Warzone update was small, there are a few fantastic changes. The SP-R 208 was clearly a problem at release and Infinity Ward continues to try and bring it to a balanced state. The buff to the Kar98k may be a way to bring more diversity back to the marksman rifle class, which would be another great step for Call of Duty: Warzone. Shotguns have also been lacking in content overall, and the JAK-12 appears to be a fun and unique addition to the class of weapons. Matches are sure to be filled with automatic shotgun fire for a short while.
