An Oktoberfest-themed tracer pack for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War allows players to celebrate the festival in-game by turning their bullets into beer. The annual German folk festival celebrating Bavarian culture and beer is usually held during the end of September to early October, and its a popular tradition that isn't a stranger to video games in the era of seasonal content.

Call of Duty is currently reaching the end of its Season 5, which saw the addition of a variety of fresh content to both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, including weapon balances and new game modes. At the beginning of Season 5, the next entry into Activision’s FPS franchise was announced, in the form of Call of Duty: Vanguard, taking the game back to a World War II theme. Upon it's release, Vanguard will be integrated with Warzone via a massive new Pacific map, with both titles sharing all post-launch content updates, including a brand new anti-cheat system.

As announced by a Call of Duty tweet, the newest Tracer Pack: Oktoberfest Bundle for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War's theme centers around the German festival. The bundle can be purchased for 2,400 Call of Duty Points, and includes a knife called Keg Tap, a Lederhosen Operator skin for Beck, and a Happy Hour watch where the hour markers are replaced with mugs of beer. There is also a Prost calling card, a Tankard weapon charm to go with two weapon blueprints, Kolch and Hefeweizen, named after German beer. A new finishing move is included called Tapped Out, which will allow a player to toss their opponent into the air, before landing a brutal drop-kick to their face. Most interestingly, the guns Kolch and Hefeweizen feature a “beer tracer fire effect,” which turns its bullets into beer cans that drench the area with beer on impact.

Earlier in September, the Operator Beck also received Judge Dredd skins for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, which turns the character into the famous justice driven comic book character. The bundle continued on the '80s theme that began earlier in the year, which saw the arrival of action movie heroes John McClane from Die Hard, and Rambo. The Oktoberfest Bundle will be one of the last packs released for Call of Duty’s Season 5, which is scheduled to end in early October.

Although the Oktoberfest DLC for Call of Duty adds a fun festive twist to the FPS, the game is expected to take a serious turn with the arrival of its next season, with Warzone’s Season 6 trailer teasing Verdansk’s destruction. It certainly seems fitting to allow players to bid farewell to the map of Verdansk by engaging in beer-soaked battles.
