Black Market contracts are a new addition to Call of Duty: Warzone in the latest update to the free-to-play battle royale game. The newest season, Mercenaries of Fortune, releases June 22 with a whole host of new features for players to enjoy. The main thing players are looking forward to is the newest map being added to Call of Duty: Warzone called Fortune’s Keep. This is where players will find Black Market contracts.

Fortune’s Keep is the newest map being introduced to Call of Duty: Warzone’s Resurgence game mode. This game mode features a smaller map where up to 40 players can duke it out by themselves or with up to three others. Since the Caldera battle royale map was released in November, the map for Resurgence has been the Alcatraz-inspired Rebirth Island. The new Resurgence map being introduced in the June 22 Mercenaries of Fortune update is modeled after colorful, Mediterranean architecture.

The new Resurgence map, Fortune’s Keep, will also add Black Market contracts across the map. The Black Market contract is similar to the Supply Run and Supply Drop contracts, allowing players to reach a certain marker on the map to access a Black Market Buy Station. When players activate a Black Market contract, a yellow drop zone will appear on the player’s map. This yellow circle contains the drop zone for the Black Market buy station, which players must rush toward to access its contents. Make sure to use the right kind of Call of Duty Warzone audio settings to detect nearby enemies on the approach.

Players will only have a limited time to use the Black Market Buy Station once it has been activated in Call of Duty. Other teams can also use it for the same period of time after activation. However, if players manage to activate the Black Market Buy Station without interference, they will have access to items unique to the black market. The items available inside of the Black Market Buy Stations include:

  • Sequencer Grenade
  • Nebula V Minigun
  • Foresight
  • Specialist Bonus
  • Classified Weapons

Players may notice the Sequencer Grenade and Nebula V Minigun are new additions to Warzone in the new Mercenaries of Fortune update. For $500 in-game cash, players can buy a Sequencer Grenade, which scrambles the enemy HUD and distorts audio like an EMP, while also showing sequences of numbers just like Alex Mason saw in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Battle Hardened reduces the effects while stim injections counter them completely. The Nebula V Minigun is a minigun loaded with Nebula V ammo, which is as predictable as Godzilla and King Kong fighting each other.
