A leak suggests Call of Duty: Mobile may be receiving brand-new Zombies content and other exciting features in the next update. Since its release two years ago, Call of Duty: Mobile has gone on to record one of the largest mobile game launches in history. Within one year, the game was downloaded more than 200 million times and generated nearly $500 million. This lucrative commercial success of Call of Duty: Mobile has prompted Activision to shift its attention towards the mobile game. This means the mobile game is constantly being updated with new content and features, which are often borrowed from previous Call of Duty titles.

Despite being free-to-play, Call of Duty: Mobile has become one of the most prominent Activision releases. This even led to developer TiMi suggesting last month that the progression system in Call of Duty: Mobile might be updated as the player base continues to grow. Now, there is evidence of more content coming that may help boost that player base.

According to Dexerto, the latest Call of Duty: Mobile update has just launched in China and brought with it a variety of new content. This includes a new Zombies mode, a prestige system, and multiplayer maps. The Chinese version of the mobile game typically receives any upcoming changes months in advance before they are introduced to Western users. Mobile players have come to realize that Chinese updates are often previews of any new content that lies ahead. Once players in China installed the newest update, a brand-new Zombies mode is immediately visible on the home screen.

The leak also hints that the popular map Shi No Numa, which first appeared in Call of Duty: World at War, will be featured in some capacity. The update also includes a new multiplayer map titled Monastery that features indoor and outdoor combat on a medium-sized map. Lastly, a new prestige system also appears in the update, but it is rumored to apply specifically to weapon prestige. This new weapon prestige system is being linked with having the ability to rename weapons, unlocking new cosmetics, and opening new weapon capabilities.

The Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 update recently added two new multiplayer maps for players to enjoy, including Shipment and Shoot House. The mobile game features the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare versions of the maps. The latest update is part of Activision's plan to continue adding free seasonal updates to the mobile game. Each update provides players with new content to explore.

It makes complete sense that Activision plans to continue expanding its mobile title. The recent success of Warzone and Black Ops means that content from those games will probably be added to Call of Duty: MobilePlenty of Call of Duty: Mobile players are hoping these features are going to be added to the game soon so they don't miss out.
