Players are finally able to get their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but many are becoming annoyed by how much they are forced to grind in order to acquire weapon attachments. For multiplayer games such as this there is always a little bit of a grind associated with new equipment and levels, but many are already concerned that Black Ops Cold War will require players will have to put in more time than they are willing.

This isn't the only problem that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players have experienced so far. Those that are playing on the Xbox Series X have been dealing with game crashes. This isn't an issue that anyone is running into with either the Xbox One or the PlayStation consoles, which seems to indicate that it is solely a problem with this specific version of the game. Many players have already realized that the only way to actually stop this issue and get their game running again properly is to reinstall Black Ops Cold War. PlayStation 5 users aren't safe either though with some reporting that a bug is causing the PS5 controller to disconnect randomly.

Many Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players have taken to Reddit to voice their frustrations over how much experience is required for them to unlock new attachments. Several users stated that despite having a massive amount of kills with specific weapons they were still sitting at very low weapon levels. This can be a big problem since acquiring attachments is a big part of keeping up with the competition, so those who don't have the time to grind for levels will be at a disadvantage.

Another issue with the leveling system in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is that PlayStation players receive bonus XP just by playing with other PlayStation users. This means that no matter what PC and Xbox players do, the PlayStation players will always have the advantage over them. Several Reddit users have suggested that Black Ops Cold War may have scaled weapon experience gain to PlayStation players, which would explain why everyone is having a hard time gaining levels.

There are almost always balancing issues in the beginning of multiplayer games, and Call of Duty tends to have many issues at launch considering how popular it is. Most likely the weapon experience problem will be rectified in the coming weeks, which will enable Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players to have more fun.
