Cobra Kai's main characters have had their fair share of run-ins with law enforcement, and some, like Johnny and Robby, have gone to jail and juvenile detention for their actions. Johnny has been arrested multiple times in the show for getting into fights and various bar brawls, while Robby was convicted to serve time in juvie after the school fight.

Even though some of Cobra Kai's main characters have been arrested and sent to jail, there are still many other overlooked actions that probably should have resulted in some jail time.

Johnny's Training Techniques With Miguel

William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz Recovery Cobra Kai

Although it's played to comedic effect on the show, Johnny's training techniques to get Miguel to learn how to kick and to try to quicken his rehabilitation after his coma are abusive and probably jailable offenses. In the first season, Johnny starts training Miguel and takes him to a pool to teach him how to kick. He ties Miguel's arms together and pushes him into the pool, yelling at him to kick for his life.

In the third season, Johnny is left in charge to help Miguel try to walk again after his coma and surgery, and this includes literally lighting a fire beneath him in the hopes that he will magically feel something and stand.

Daniel Plotting To Raise Johnny's Rent

Daniel Confronts Cobra Kai

It might not be a jailable offense, but Daniel's manipulative plan to raise Johnny's rent is a shady business move that probably should be illegal, and yet technically, it's not.

When Daniel hears that Johnny is bringing back Cobra Kai, he is willing to do anything to stop it, so he talks to the landlord who owns the strip mall Cobra Kai operates out of to see if he'd raise the rent so Johnny can't pay, hurting the other tenants in the process. Although Daniel shows remorse after his wife Amanda brings up how it could potentially hurt others, instead of only closing down Cobra Kai, it's a hurtful move.

Kreese Assaulting Demetri

Cobra Kai Demetri Gianni Decenzo

Demetri walked back into the Cobra Kai dojo hoping to try to join and learn karate again, but he instead ran into Kreese and their first meeting did not go well. Demetri kept saying he was happy to see another sensei because he thought Johnny was a little too rough, as Kreese kept quiet until the cut when Demetri touched his arm to get a better look at his tattoo.

Demetri ran out of the dojo with a bloody nose and had to get several stitches, but the only recourse Demetri took was to leave a bad Yelp review.

Johnny Drunk Driving

Johnny has been arrested a few times on the show for drunken brawls and assaulting teenagers in the strip mall, but he hasn't been arrested for drunk driving.

Johnny has been shown drunk driving on the show several times and yet he's never gotten into a crash, been pulled over or arrested for drunk driving or drinking alcohol in a vehicle. Not only that, but no character has gotten upset with him for the dangerous and potentially deadly habit.

Hawk Breaking Demetri's Arm

Demetri fights Hawk

While the Miyagi-do kids instigated this fight after the Cobra Kai kids stole prizes from the Golf N' Stuff while one of the members was working, it's Hawk who ended it when he chose to break Demetri's arm.

Sam calls the Miyagi-do group together to retaliate against the Cobra Kai kids, but they're quickly overwhelmed, especially when Sam sees Tory again for the first time after the school fight and has a panic attack. Hawk has Demetri in a hold, similar to how Miguel had Robby caught in the school fight, and Hawk chooses to purposely break his arm, even though Demetri pleads for him to stop.

Cobra Kai Kids Breaking Into The LaRusso's House

Tory Cobra Kai Season 3

Both the Cobra Kai kids and Miyagi-do kids have started fights throughout Cobra Kai, but the Cobra Kai kids took it to another level in season 3 when they decided to ambush their enemies and break into Daniel LaRusso's house where they were meeting.

The other fights have been on neutral ground, like the school or an abandoned Laser Tag place, but breaking and entering is a different story. This happened in the last episode of season 3, so there might be consequences for them in a new season.

Underage Drinking And Hawk's Fake ID

Cobra Kai Tory Party

Although maybe not a true jailable offense, there's still a decent amount of underage drinking in the show, in which all of the teenage characters partake.

Hawk buys a ton of alcohol with a fake ID for a party the Cobra Kai kids are planning to have to edge out Yasmine's party and being in possession of a fake ID could carry jail time if he's caught. Moon also has a party with a lot of underage drinking involved that ended when the police arrive, though none of the main characters got in trouble.

Johnny Stealing LaRusso's Car

Cobra Kai trailer Johnny Daniel

In the third season, Robby steals one of LaRusso Auto's cars, so Johnny and Daniel try to track the car to find Robby after he ran away after the school fight. They find it at a chop shop, but they don't find Robby, and Johnny takes off in the car after they have a fight.

Daniel yells at him to bring the car back, but Johnny keeps it and drives it around throughout the season. Daniel's already fixed one of Johnny's cars and gave him another, and in a hilarious move, Johnny drives off in one and doesn't return it. It might be a jailable offense, but Daniel has more important things to worry about in season 3.

Sam, Yasmine, Moon's Hit And Run

Johnny and Daniel talking around a car in Cobra Kai

Sam, Yasmine, and Moon are driving around in the pilot and they crash directly into Johnny's car because Yasmine was texting. Johnny drunkenly screams at them, causing Yasmine to drive away. It's a jailable offense to leave a crash scene like this and yet nothing happened to them.

The event wasn't revealed to Sam's parents until the end of season 1, and Johnny isn't one to press charges, but it still warranted more than a few weeks of being grounded.

Cobra Kai Kids Vandalizing Miyagi-Do

Cobra Kai Daniel training Miyagi Do.jpg

After Daniel opens Miyagi-do in the second season, Hawk and several other Cobra Kai kids vandalize the dojo, including the iconic car Mr. Miyagi gave to Daniel in the first Karate Kid movie. They also steal Mr. Miyagi's Medal of Honor.

Although no one is physically hurt, it's still a jailable offense and a devastating blow to the newly opened dojo, while also dishonoring the memory of Mr. Miyagi.
