Warning: SPOILERS for Cobra Kai Season 5If Cobra Kai season 6's production delay leads to a time jump, it could be just what the LaRusso family needs. Cobra Kai season 5 ended with Daniel LaRusso's (Ralph Macchio) greatest victory. With the help of his family, his students, and his ex-rivals-turned-friends Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto), and Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), Daniel-san finally defeated Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). LaRusso's students exposed Silver's criminal acts, leading to his arrest, while Daniel got the personal satisfaction of beating Terry in a fight.

Cobra Kai season 6 isn't renewed by Netflix (yet), but if the series undergoes a time jump, it could finally mean that Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler) could learn karate, while Anthony LaRusso's (Griffin Santopietro) could be markedly improved. As of Cobra Kai season 5's ending, Anthony barely has any karate skills, and he had to be protected by his older sister Samantha (Mary Mouser) and her friends against Cobra Kai. But a time jump could mean that Anthony becomes a better fighter in Cobra Kai season 6. Perhaps more importantly, Amanda may return from a time jump proficient in Miyagi-Do as well. After watching (and teasing) Daniel from the sidelines for four seasons, Mrs. LaRusso found herself in a bar fight in Cobra Kai season 5, as she got deeply involved in the effort to stop Terry Silver.

Cobra Kai's Amanda, Carmen, And Jessica Need To Learn Karate

Cobra Kai's adults drinking shots together

It's high time that Cobra Kai's adult female characters, including Amanda, Carmen Diaz (Vanessa Rubio), and Jessica Andrews (Robyn Lively) also learn karate so that they can mix it up like Daniel, Johnny, and the kids on the show. Amanda and Jessica even got in a bar fight with their old rival, Elizabeth-Anne Rooney (Sunny Mabrey), in Cobra Kai season 5, but they had to be saved by Samantha. It's probably rather embarrassing that Sam had to rescue her aunt and mother from adult bullies, although Jessica and Amanda brushed it off.

Amanda hilariously introduced herself as "karate adjacent" later on in Cobra Kai season 5, but this joke belies a problem that season 6 can fix. Ever since Amanda became enemies with John Kreese (Martin Kove), she has been a Cobra Kai target herself. Terry Silver certainly had no qualms about using Daniel's temper to jeopardize his marriage to Amanda. The introduction of Cobra Kai's first female sensei, Master Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) could also mean Amanda gains her as an enemy in Cobra Kai season 6. Further, actors Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, and Robyn Lively have all expressed their desire to learn karate, and Cobra Kai season 6 needs it to happen at last.

The LaRusso Family All Practicing Karate Would Honor Mr. Miyagi

Cobra Kai 5 Finale LaRussos

While not every single character in Cobra Kai needs to be a karate fighter, at this point, all of the LaRussos being proficient at Miyagi-Do makes sense. In Cobra Kai season 5, Amanda realized that Daniel being plagued by enemies from his past is now a fact of life, and she accepted she had to stand by her husband. But Amanda needs to do more than stand by in Cobra Kai season 6; she needs to be able to defend herself too. Meanwhile, Anthony's problem with Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young) was one of the few rivalries that Cobra Kai season 5 didn't settle, and the youngest LaRusso needs to get better in a fight, and fast.

Of course, Daniel is guided by the memory and lessons he learned from Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita), and he's imparted his sensei's wisdom to Sam, his students, and, remarkably, even Johnny respects Miyagi-Do. The entire LaRusso family practicing Miyagi-Do would honor Mr. Miyagi. If he were alive, Miyagi would understand the insane situation Daniel-san and his family found themselves in throughout Cobra Kai, and Mr. Miyagi would want them all to be able to defend themselves from their enemies. It would be fitting and remarkable if the entire LaRusso family went all-in on Miyagi-Do in Cobra Kai season 6.
