Plenty of Karate Kid characters have returned in Cobra Kai, and season 6 being the last means Julie Pierce must appear. The hit Netflix series is coming to an end with the sixth season, which will mark the conclusion of a story revolving around original movie characters Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). They returned to the Karate Kid franchise decades after the original movie ignited their rivalry, and the show completely altered their dynamic over the course of five seasons. This came as Cobra Kai included just about any character from the movie franchise that audiences could think of.

It has become a staple of Cobra Kai to include at least one new returning Karate Kid character in each season. Viewers have seen former villains like John Kreese, Terry Silver, Mike Barnes, and Chozen come back to play various roles in Daniel and Johnny's roles. There have also been a number of friendly characters from Karate Kid who returned in Cobra Kai, including Kumiko, Ali Stevens, and Jessica Andrews. While many of these characters could be back in Cobra Kai season 6, the show's final season is where the franchise's biggest missing Karate Kid character can finally appear.

Julie Pierce Is The Biggest Missing Karate Kid Character From Cobra Kai

Julie Pierce and Mr Miyagi in The Next Karate Kid

Hilary Swank's Julie Pierce must be in Cobra Kai season 6 if the show is going to end. She is easily the biggest character connected to the movie franchise who has not appeared in the sequel show. This is partially due to Swank starring in The Next Karate Kid, which had little connection to the original trilogy starring Daniel LaRusso. That has not made Julie Pierce's absence from Cobra Kai any less noticeable to fans of the franchise. As one of Mr. Miyagi's other students, she deserves a spot in Cobra Kai season 6 in some form. It could help that the show's creators have repeatedly expressed interest in using her.

While there are a few other minor characters from the Karate Kid movies that could also return for Cobra Kai season 6, there is no debate that Julie Pierce is the biggest familiar face for the show to use. Every major villain that Daniel faced has already been brought back, and so have all of his previous love interests. With the setup for the Sekai Taikai and the global karate tournament playing a pivotal role in the show's conclusion, having Julie Pierce return in Cobra Kai season 6 in that fashion could work. Of course, there are other stories that can explain Hilary Swank's return, such as being Tory's mom.

Julie Pierce Returning In Cobra Kai Season 6 Can Unite The Miyagi-verse

Julie Pierce, Johnny Lawrence, and Daniel LaRusso

If Cobra Kai season 6 is where Julie Pierce's return happens, the Miyagi-verse will finally be united in the sequel series. The original Karate Kid trilogy and Hilary Swank's The Next Karate Kid were only linked through Pat Morita's appearances as Mr. Miyagi. Cobra Kai season 6 could finally be an opportunity for his two pupils, Julie Pierce and Daniel LaRusso, to meet and exchange fond memories of their former teacher. It would be the perfect way for Cobra Kai season 6 to conclude and possibly set up a spinoff for Hilary Swank's character too.
