Warning: SPOILERS for Cobra Kai Season 4.

The ending of Cobra Kai season 4 set up a season 5 conflict between Tory Nichols (Peyton List) and Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), and here's how the "Queen Cobra" can fight her sensei. Tory won the first-ever girls' All Valley karate championship by beating her arch-enemy, Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser). Her victory also led to Cobra Kai winning the All Valley Grand Championship. But Tory's jubilation at proving she was the best around was short-lived; Nichols was heartbroken to discover Silver bribed the referee to score the final fight in Cobra Kai's favor.

Cobra Kai season 4 significantly evolved Tory from her original role as Sam's ruthless nemesis who was expelled from West Valley High. Tory's difficult home life was revealed in Cobra Kai season 3; Nichols is the sole breadwinner of her family despite being a teenager and she's responsible for caring for her sick mother and younger brother. When Sam's mother, Amanda (Courtney Henggeler), learned of Tory's hardship, she took pity on Nichols and sponsored her return to school despite Samantha's objections. After the junior prom, Tory confessed to Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) that she wanted to win the All Valley so that she could know she was the best at something. Beating Samantha, who fought using both Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang karate's styles, validated Tory at last, but her joy was robbed by learning Silver cheated on her behalf. For his part, Silver has no idea Tory knows he cheated at the All Valley when Cobra Kai season 4 ended, but his deception could end up costing Cobra Kai their top female fighter in the long run.

Although the troubled teenage girl is clearly an underdog against her millionaire sensei, Tory is poised to retaliate against Terry in some fashion in Cobra Kai season 5. It's hard to imagine Nichols actually fighting her imposing sensei, but there are ways she can effectively strike back at Terry. Tory's most straightforward revenge would be to go public that Silver bribed the referee at the All Valley. This would hurt Nichols since it would likely invalidate her championship win. But outing Terry's underhanded tactics would also cause a scandal and sabotage his master plan to open Cobra Kai dojos all over the San Fernando Valley. The first-ever girls' champion confessing that Cobra Kai's sensei cheated at the All Valley would curtail Silver's chances of recruiting new students. It would probably disgrace Terry the same way losing to Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) did in The Karate Kid Part III.

Tory Cobra Kai 4 finale

Tory could also help John Kreese (Martin Kove) after she and the rest of Cobra Kai's students find out he was arrested for assaulting Stingray (Paul Walter Hauser). Nichols is the student who is closest to Kreese, who obviously has a soft spot for her. Tory could learn the truth that Terry framed Kreese for the assault, which Silver actually did himself so that he could take over Cobra Kai. After all, Tory's loyalty is to Kreese, not Terry, and she could potentially work on John's behalf to prove his innocence. Kreese taking back Cobra Kai with Tory's help would be sweet revenge for both of them.

Lastly, Tory could potentially turn on Cobra Kai and help Daniel LaRusso fight Terry Silver. Daniel brought in Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) from Okinawa to help him go on the offense against Cobra Kai, but scoring the help of their champion female fighter would be a coup. Whether or not Sam would be okay with her and Tory suddenly fighting on the same side is doubtful, but Nichols has seemingly made good on her word to Amanda that the All Valley final was the end of her feud with Sam, at least on Tory's end. Tory emerged as a more sympathetic character by the end of Cobra Kai season 4 but if Nichols is going to be in conflict with Terry Silver, the "Queen Cobra" will need all the help she can get in Cobra Kai season 5.
