A new Cobra Kai season 4 trailer has arrived and confirms the show's December 2021 release date on Netflix. The Karate Kid sequel series started as a YouTube Red original series, but it was after Cobra Kai arrived on Netflix that it found a bigger audience. The streaming service became the exclusive home for the third season of the series, which introduced even more viewers to the renewed rivalry between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zapka). However, Cobra Kai season 3 saw the longtime rivals agree to team up to try and take down John Kreese's revamped Cobra Kai.

The setup of Daniel's Miyagi-Do and Johnny's Eagle Fang Karate working together in preparation of the next All-Valley Karate Tournament has made fans eager to see Cobra Kai season 4. Details on what the upcoming season will hold have been largely kept under wraps, but a previous teaser did confirm the return of Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver. Netflix also announced that the show will return before the end of 2021 and already gave Cobra Kai an early season 5 renewal. With all of the anticipation to see what happens next, Netflix has finally brought another new look at season 4.

The return of The Karate Kid's villain Terry Silver was teased throughout Cobra Kai season 3. Flashbacks to John Kreese's days in the army provided the backstory for how Kreese met Silver and started the friendship that led to Silver bankrolling Cobra Kai. It was also at the very end of Cobra Kai season 3 that Kreese was shown on the phone talking to an old friend, and it didn't take long for fans to guess that this was Terry. The Cobra Kai season 4 trailer shows him traveling to Kreese's Cobra Kai dojo and even doing some training himself. He'll likely be used as a second instructor for Cobra Kai as they prepare for the All-Valley Karate Tournament.

The rest of Cobra Kai's season 4 trailer primarily focuses on the pairing of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate and the conflicting styles of Daniel and Johnny. The footage shows the mixed messages they give their students, but the two are sure to work out their differences as the season progresses. Other moments of note in the Cobra Kai season 4 trailer include a tease of Robby and Tory training together, Johnny's blossoming romance with Miguel's mom, and the stakes of the All-Valley Karate Tournament. With Cobra Kai season 4's release date also confirmed, fans can begin counting down the days until they learn exactly what happens next.
