A new Cobra Kai season 4 poster hypes up the All-Valley Tournament and the war between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate. The Karate Kid franchise returned in a surprising way in 2018 when a TV show sequel happened with Ralph Macchio and William Zapka returning as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Through three seasons of Cobra Kai, the series has risen in popularity and shown the continuation of Daniel and Johnny's rivalry decades later. However, Cobra Kai season 4 forces them to put their differences aside to try and take down the Cobra Kai dojo for good.
Following Cobra Kai season 3's ending, the new season is set to explore the various main characters preparing for another meeting at the All-Valley Tournament. The show previously used the famous tournament in season 1, and its absence in seasons 2 and 3 came as a surprise to many. The All-Valley Tournament is more important than ever this time, though, as the fate of Cobra Kai rests on the outcome. Cobra Kai season 4's marketing has understandably focused on promoting the various dojos training for the competition.
The latest Cobra Kai season 4 poster released by Netflix continues the marketing's heavy emphasis on hyping the All-Valley Tournament. The poster shows Cobra Kai-affiliated characters on one side and those connected to Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate on the other. Team Cobra Kai is on the left and includes Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), John Kreese (Martin Kove), Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), Tory (Peyton List), Kyler (Joe Sae), and newcomer Kenny (Dallas Young). Meanwhile, Team Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate is on the right: Johnny Lawrence, Daniel LaRusso, Demetri (Gianni Decenzo), Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), and Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser). The stakes of the All-Valley Tournament should help fill Cobra Kai season 4 with tension. Although the marketing for the new season hasn't shown any of the fights from the tournament, previous materials have focused on the training. The official Cobra Kai season 4 trailer used this to highlight Johnny and Daniel's different teaching techniques, as well as tease Robby and Tory becoming close during their training. It has allowed viewers to continue wondering which character could ultimately win the All-Valley Tournament this season.
Even though this is just a poster, which Cobra Kai season 4 characters are included in it could be revealing. Most of these characters are expected to compete for the All-Valley Tournament championship, with Tory, Robby, Samantha, and Miguel the favorites to win it all. However, the inclusion of Demetri, Hawk, Kyler, and Kenny might mean that they each will also go far. Thankfully, it won't be long until the All-Valley Tournament champion is crowned, with Cobra Kai season 4 returning to Netflix on December 31, 2021.
