New photos from Cobra Kai season 4, including Johnny recreated his famous crane kick, have been reimagined in LEGO. In the original 1984 The Karate Kid movie, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) is pitted against Johnny Lawrence (Billy Zabka) in the All-Valley Karate Championships. During the matchup, Johnny is unethically instructed to sweep Daniel's injured leg, to which Johnny seizes and deals a damaging blow to it. Standing with difficulty, Daniel assumes the "Crane" position he learned from Mr. Miyagi. When Johnny lunges forward, Daniel executes a victorious front kick to his opponent's face, scoring the final winning point.

Serving as a direct sequel to the Karate Kid filmsCobra Kai is set 34 years after the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament. The series centers around a down-on-his-luck Johnny, who eventually re-opens the Cobra Kai karate dojo in order to reclaim his past. The dojo attracts bullied social outcasts who find camaraderie and self-confidence under Johnny's tutelage. Johnny's decision to re-open the dojo ultimately re-ignites his rivalry with Daniel, who is now the successful owner of a car dealership chain. Cobra Kai season 3 ends with Johnny and Daniel setting aside their differences to team up against John Kreese, the former Cobra Kai dojo master who originally taught Johnny and instructed him to unethically sweep Daniel's leg in the 1984 movie. With Cobra Kai season 4 setting up the 51st annual All-Valley Tournament, it seems Johnny learned a thing or two from Daniel.

The Lego Cobra Kai Twitter account has revealed its recreations of the newly-released Cobra Kai season 4 photos, including Johnny recreating the infamous Karate Kid crane kick. The Cobra Kai cast members stand in the back watching the events unfold with smiles on their faces. Cobra Kai season 4 picks up right after the the previous season's ending, with Johnny and Daniel uniting against Kreese. Kreese is also said to be teaming up with another legendary Karate Kid character, Terry Silver, the co-owner of the Cobra Kai dojo. Silver has yet to be seen since 1989's The Karate Kid III. Meanwhile, these LEGO images also recreate the original first-look at the young Cobra Kai cast, which consists of Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo), Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), and Hawk (Jacob Bertrand).

With Johnny poised to recreate the move that ultimately lead to his downfall in the 1984 film, such a scene (in real life) shows why Cobra Kai has been so successful. The show's third season topped Netflix's charts last January and the entire series has only grown in popularity since. Owing to the prevalence of the Karate Kid franchise in pop-culture, brining back the infamous crane kick to Cobra Kai season 4 is sure to leave fans satisfied.
