The All Valley Tournament is undergoing big changes in Cobra Kai season 4 and this could drastically impact Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang's conflict with the Cobra Kai dojo. Cobra Kai season 4 is built around the All Valley and the stakes are astronomically high. At the end of Cobra Kai season 3, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) finally joined forces and made a pact with John Kreese (Martin Kove) that if Eagle Fang or Miyagi-Do win the All Valley karate tournament, Cobra Kai has to shut its doors for good. But the same consequence would befall Lawrence and LaRusso's dojos if Cobra Kai triumphs at the All Valley.

The Karate Kid settled Johnny and Daniel's original grudge at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament, although the animosity between Lawrence and LaRusso lingered for another 35 years. Johnny was a two-time All Valley champion but LaRusso beat him in the finals in 1984. Daniel returned the next year and defeated Cobra Kai's Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) to become a two-time champion in The Karate Kid Part III. The All Valley returned in Cobra Kai season 1 and this time, Daniel and Johnny were senseis. But it was Lawrence's student, Miguel Diaz (Xolo Mariduena), who won the 2018 All Valley championship by defeating Daniel's pupil, Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), who is also Johnny's son. The All Valley has strict rules that call for no head contact and a three-point system, but Cobra Kai season 4 could usher in a major upheaval to the traditional tournament.

Cobra Kai season 4's trailer shows the All Valley councilmembers agreeing upon a "proposal" that will "revolutionize the tournament," and it appears to be much more impactful than how Cobra Kai season 1 changed the red mats seen in The Karate Kid movies to the current All Valley's more striking blue mats. A glimpse of Daniel's daughter Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) at the All Valley showing off her skills with Japanese sai blades could mean that the tournament may allow weapons for the first time. Cobra Kai has escalated the karate violence between the teenagers since the series began and the students have brawled everything from a food court to their high school to the LaRussos' home. In Cobra Kai season 4, the All Valley may incorporate new forms of karate combat and allow the students of Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang, and Cobra Kai to fight each other with weapons.

Further, the bet Kreese, Johnny, and Daniel made that puts the fates of their dojos on the line could be incorporated into the All Valley itself. The three senseis' wager may become public knowledge so that the audience in attendance is fully aware that Cobra Kai season 4's All Valley is more than about which of the kids becomes the champion. The All Valley council is always looking for ways to give the event more pizazz and it would boost overall interest in the All Valley if everyone knows the losing dojo(s) could go out of business. It would also heighten the drama of the tournament as well as increase the pressure among the kids. With so much on the line, favorites like defending champion Miguel, Sam, Robby, and Tory Nichols (Peyton List) need to win the All Valley and have even more incentive.

Another possibility is that, despite the All Valley being a karate tournament for participants under 18, the senseis of Cobra Kai may hit the mat and fight. Cobra Kai season 4's trailer shows new friends Johnny and Daniel training against and with each other. It could be fascinating if LaRusso, Lawrence, Kreese, and Silver actually compete in the All Valley, if not for a trophy then to publicly settle their differences. Daniel, Johnny, and Kreese have brawled numerous times but Cobra Kai season 4 could see them don their gis and settle their differences on the mat. It would be extra fascinating since Johnny has never faced Terry while Daniel would be itching to finally get his hands on his evil ex-sensei. No matter what, Cobra Kai season 4's All Valley promises to be a tournament unlike any seen before in The Karate Kid saga.
