The real mansion used for filming the LaRusso house is now on sale - what does this mean for the future of Cobra Kai? The Karate Kid franchise has many staple props and sets, from the Ford Super De Luxe Mr. Miyagi gave Daniel LaRusso as a gift to the beloved Miyagi-Do dojo. Cobra Kai has achieved the same feat over the course of three seasons, with memorable moments lived in West Valley High School and the LaRusso mansion. Now, the show will go through some major changes in season 4, and perhaps Daniel LaRusso and his family will have to say goodbye to their lavish house.

Cobra Kai season 3 ended on an ominous note when Tory Nichols swore revenge on Sam, while Hawk redeemed himself and teamed up with Demetri during the final battle at the LaRusso's place. Meanwhile, Johnny and Daniel came to an agreement with John Kreese: if they win the next All-Valley tournament, John Kreese pulls the plug on Cobra Kai and leaves for good. Although Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang are much stronger now than they have joined forces, Kreese may still have several tricks up his sleeve.

It has recently been announced that the house used as the filming location for the LaRusso mansion in Cobra Kai is currently on the market for $2.65 million. Since Cobra Kai season 4 started filming in January 2021 and series co-creator Jon Hurwitz has hinted on Twitter that the show is wrapping up filming by the end of April, it's safe to say that Daniel, Amanda, Sam, and Anthony will still be able to enjoy the luxury of their home throughout season 4. Nevertheless, the real-world sale means that the location probably won't be available if the show gets a season 5, although Daniel and his family may need to start looking for a new home before that happens.

The LaRusso House in Cobra Kai Season 3 Finale

The specific consequence this has on the protagonists might depend on the outcome of Daniel and Johnny's all-or-nothing fight against John Kreese. While the change could be for the better, it could also mean that Daniel will be losing his house and the LaRusso Auto Group dealership, proving just how far Kreese is willing to go to defeat his enemies. If Cobra Kai season 4 follows through with the tease of Terry Silver's return, it's more likely that the wealthy Karate Kid Part III villain will at least try to hurt the LaRusso family financially, causing Daniel and Amanda to lose their house and their business.

Cobra Kai is no stranger to unexpected changes. For instance, the season 3 finale had to be shot in the LaRusso house instead of the Miyagi-Do dojo due to bad weather. Now, Cobra Kai season 4 won't have the same stunt coordinators as the previous three seasons, as Hiro Koda and Jahnel Curfman have left the series. There's no doubt the show will keep evolving as more unforeseen circumstances happen inside and outside the screen - something which guarantees more shocking twists and turns.
