Cobra Kai season 5 sets up Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen leading a brand new dojo – and one old fan theory predicts what this new dojo will be called. While Cobra Kai season 3 teased that Johnny and Daniel would finally put their differences asides and work together, this quickly fell apart in Cobra Kai season 4. Fortunately, season 5 saw both Johnny and Daniel find the balance they were looking for – and now a new, unified dojo can be created.

With Terry Silver’s expanded Cobra Kai taking over the valley just as the Karate Kid 3 villain always wanted, Daniel’s best hope to fight his former nemesis was by joining forces with Chozen. However, while Chozen brought an entirely different side of Miyagi-Do to Daniel’s dojo, Daniel still needed one more ally if he wanted to defeat Silver – Johnny Lawrence. Now as friends who respected each other’s karate style, Johnny and Daniel combined Miayagi-Do and Eagle Fang into one unique training method.

This new dojo created by Daniel, Chozen, and Johnny was made official once the trio decided to try a spot on the Sekai Taikai. The Sekai Taiki committee was impressed by the skills and the unique fighting style of Eli and Sam, and while Cobra Kai was definitely more well-equipped, both dojos will get to fight in the worldwide competition. However, now that they are in the Sekai Taikai tournament, Johnny, Chozen, and Daniel need to find an official name for their dojo. Cobra Kai season 5 teased that it will be a new, unique name as Daniel refuses to use just “Miyagi-Do” while Johnny won’t use just "Eagle Fang." The mystery of what this new dojo’s name will be has fueled an old fan theory that Johnny and Daniel will name their dojo “The Karate Kids” or something similar. It would be an obvious callback to The Karate Kid, but given how cleverly self-aware Cobra Kai can be, such a meta-reference would work.

Johnny & Daniel’s New Dojo Sets Up Cobra Kai’s Perfect Ending

Now that Johnny and Daniel have truly put their differences aside and realized they have been friends all this time, Cobra Kai is closer than ever to its perfect ending. The never-ending conflict between Johnny and Daniel would only work so much, and with the rivalries among the young characters like Robby and Miguel also resolved, there is not much else for future Cobra Kai seasons to cover. If the yet-to-be-announced Cobra Kai season 6 is to be the final one as many have speculated, then Cobra Kai already has the perfect ending set up. Having Daniel and Johnny’s dojo be named "The Karate Kids" or something similar would make the entire Karate Kid/Cobra Kai saga go full circle, and it would be one final meta-reference for a show that has mastered the art of nostalgic callbacks.

Naming Johnny and Daniel’s new dojo "The Karate Kids" would also honor Cobra Kai’s most important characters – the young students. Though friends and enemies from Johnny and Daniel’s past have set the tone for Cobra Kai, everything the duo had done so far was to try to help their apprentices. Therefore, there is no better name for Cobra Kai’s new dojo than "The Karate Kids."
