The Cobra Kai cast member who breaks character the most may not be the one fans would expect, according to the actors. The Karate Kid spin-off series gained traction due to its effective combination of '80s nostalgia and use of a modern setting. Part of the Netflix hit's appeal is the return of original franchise actors Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso), William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence), and others. In the first Karate Kid film, Macchio's character Daniel faces a major adversary in Zabka's Johnny, who participates in bullying the teen throughout the film and is part of the aggressive dojo, Cobra Kai. While Daniel learns a new different form of karate from his mentor Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita), eventually beating Johnny in combat, Johnny never escapes from the cult of Cobra Kai as a teen. Cobra Kai picks up over three decades later, showing the Karate Kid antagonist's life as an adult and providing Johnny's side of the story.

In Cobra Kai, the adults' plot points run parallel to those of the teens'. In the pilot episode, Johnny notices that Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) is getting picked on and takes the boy under his wing, which ultimately makes him take a long, hard look at his own life and his relationship with estranged son, Robby (Tanner Buchanan). While the "where are they now" nature of the series originally drew viewers hoping to catch up with Johnny and Daniel after so many years in, the teens including Miguel, Robby, Sam (Mary Mouser), Tory (Peyton List), Eli (Jacob Bertrand), and Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) have kept viewers invested with their constantly shifting allegiances and character growth. The teen cast members also boast excellent chemistry, which apparently extends off-screen.

In a video for Seventeen, Mouser discussed the Cobra Kai cast members who are most likely to break character in a scene. When she mentioned Buchanan, all her co-stars agreed, though she admitted that she is also guilty of slipping. Check out what she had to say below:

"He's not here, but it's definitely Tanner. Second to that might be me, but I feel like I can pull it back together. I can think of several times where like, it usually involves a bug flying near me and me panicking and running off-camera."

Mouser's reveal that Buchanan breaks character most frequently is sure to be amusing for Cobra Kai fans, given his character is by far the most stoic of the teens. Due to his unstable relationship with his father and antagonistic relationships with nearly every character on the series at some point, Robby is frequently seen with a permanent scowl on his face. Though he has occasionally enjoyed lighter moments in the show, including his hilarious pepper-eating contest in Cobra Kai season 5's Mexico storyline, he's usually the most likely to be completely sober out of the kids and the cast in general, making this a comical contrast. His character's frequent serious scenes may contribute to his breaking character, since it can be difficult to maintain a straight face, especially when surrounded by such witty co-stars as the Cobra Kai cast.

At the end of season 5, Robby and Tory managed to find their way back to one another and rekindle their relationship. In Cobra Kai season 6, it will be interesting to see if audiences will get a more playful side of Robby as he embraces his place with the other members of Daniel and Johnny's joint dojo and continues to repair his relationship with his father. Series creators have confirmed that some scenes from season 6 are already filmed, which hopefully means that fans of the show won't have to wait long for the next installment of the beloved show.
