Alicia Silverstone recreated an iconic scene from Clueless with her son on TikTok, and a new video shows just how close the recreation is to the original scene. Director Amy Heckerling's film modernization of Jane Austen's Emma premiered in 1995 and remains one of the most popular teen movies of all time. Kids born long after the movie was made still know the costumes and quotes by heart - especially those of Cher Horowitz, the spunky high school matchmaker from Beverly Hills played by Silverstone. Her valley girl mannerisms, relentless enthusiasm, and enviable sense of style are all part of why she's such a beloved character.

Silverstone made her film debut in the 1993 thriller The Crush to critical acclaim for her eerie performance, but what really skyrocketed her to fame were her starring roles in three Aerosmith music videos. Heckerling, who had previously directed another classic teen comedy, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, cast Silverstone after seeing her in the music video for "Cryin'." After the success of Clueless, Silverstone starred in several more teen movies and as Batgirl in Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin. She is currently a main cast member of Netflix's The Baby-Sitters Club, in which she plays Kristy's mother, Elizabeth.

On TikTok, Silverstone recreated one of Clueless's most memorable moments for her first ever video. In the scene, Cher shoves a sleazy boy who's all over her with the disgusted retort, "Ugh, as if!" In the original video, Silverstone's son Bear plays the part of the sleazy boy. In a new TikTok posted by Silverstone, her recreated video is spliced together with the scene from the original movie, showing just how close her reenactment is. Check out the Tik Tok below.

This isn't the first time Silverstone has brought her yellow plaid back out since 1995. In 2018, four years after Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX released a Clueless-themed music video for their song "Fancy," Silverstone appeared on Lip Sync Battle to perform the song in all her Cher Horowitz glory. Competing against fellow 90s starlet Mena Suvari, Silverstone also lip synced to "Cryin'" as an homage to the song that made her a star. If Silverstone likes reveling in 90s nostalgia, she's come to the right place. TikTok hosts countless videos of users (especially teens and young adults) recreating Clueless and other 90s classics in their own way, from modern updates of the iconic costumes to mouthing every word of their favorite scenes.

Fans of Clueless have long wanted to a sequel to the cult classic. A TV series did air for three seasons from '97 to '99, but Silverstone did not reprise her role, and neither did other core cast members like Paul Rudd and Dan Hedaya. Peacock announced in 2020 that a second spin-off series was in development, but the show is no longer moving forward with the streaming service. Although Silverstone has never been attached to any rumor of a sequel, the actress clearly loves the movie and its dedicated fanbase. Even if fans shouldn't expect to see Cher Horowitz in a new project anytime soon, Silverstone may very well continue to revisit the character on her TikTok. She's far from the only user paying tribute to Cluelessbut she's definitely got more than a leg up on everyone else.
