Clue movie star Michael McKean says he has never won a game of Clue. Directed by Jonathan Lynn, Clue was based on the titular board game of the same name and featured a star-studded cast, including McKean, Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, Eileen Brennan, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren. McKean’s career has spanned four decades with roles in The X-files and Better Call Saul. Stepping into the entertainment industry with his role as Lenny in '70s sitcom Laverne & Shirley, McKean joined the cast of the cult classic Clue as Mr. Green.

Amid coronavirus concerns, people around the globe are staying home and utilizing time with streaming services, artwork, and board games. Veep alumni Patton Oswalt took to Twitter to reveal he was passing the time by playing Clue and had won the game in merely 12 moves. Clue star McKean chimed in to reveal - even three decades after his role in the film - he has never won a game of Clue.

Clue fans will have a fresh chance to solve the mystery using deductive skills, as a Clue movie remake starring Ryan Reynolds is currently in the pipeline. Penned by Deadpool’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Clue will be directed by The Muppets’ James BobinClue continues to be a cultural touchstone and the Clue board game joins the list of great ways to pass time in present circumstances.

Since Clue the film’s release, numerous whodunit black comedy films have hit the market to rope in audiences to solve the case before the credits roll. These include Murder Mystery, Murder on the Orient Express, and Knives Out. However, these films don’t quite hold a candlestick to their board game predecessor. Perhaps McKean will have a chance to play the board game soon and score a long-overdue win in the game of Clue.
