Star Wars: The Clone Wars' most recent installment took Ahsoka to level 1313 of Coruscant. That area would have been the backdrop for the canceled Star Wars: 1313 video game. Ahsoka Tano's post-Jedi Order time has led her to the seedy underbelly of Coruscant. In detailing her exploits, the show sneakily provided context to the canned video game. The episode gave a bit of insight into what it would have looked like. In doing so, there also were some subtle hints dropped as to where the story could have gone.

In "Gone With A Trace" Ahsoka made her less than triumphant return to The Clone Wars. Since departing from the Jedi, she hasn't led the easiest life. Her money is short and her resources are limited. She is making the most of it, appearing more seasoned than when she was last seen. Following a crash landing, she meets a young mechanic name Trace Martez. The two exchange words and get to work on Ahsoka's wrecked speeder. Trace mentions the 1313 level of Coruscant and some key characteristics about it. The area is not a new addition to the Star Wars world. Many years prior there was a video game in development centered on it.

Aside from this explicit name drop, the episode had more to offer on the location. The 1313 level was depicted as a place of crime and little upkeep. From the graffiti on the walls and the illegitimate businesses, it is shady to the core. This refers to what the story of Star Wars: 1313 was going to entail. The player would take control of a younger version of Boba Fett for the majority of the game. With a variety of unique weapons at his disposal, he would navigate the dangerous lower levels of Coruscant. The narrative would revolve around uncovering a criminal conspiracy, acting as a tie-in to the canceled Star Wars: Underworld television series.

Following the Disney purchase of Star Wars in 2012, things did not look good for 1313. Work on the game was quietly ended as LucasArts was disbanded in April of 2013. It was far along in production, even having shown off a handful of gameplay clips. Despite the progress, 1313 was never seen through to completion. Disney even dropped the trademark on the title itself a few months later. The game faded into nothingness for several years. No more has since been directly revealed about it. It does live on to some extent in existing Star Wars properties. In addition to the Clone Wars mention, its presentation has acted as inspiration for The Mandalorian.

Years later, the story and setting of the game have been alluded to. It was not the crux of the episode, but it told more of the 1313 level than any previous canon material had before. The concept of the game had promise, but it is unlikely it will ever see the light of day. Fans will be left to speculate on what could have been. Ahsoka's time on Coruscant has proved valuable to her arc. Her development as a character will be crucial to the season going forward. At the same time, it has also shed some light onto an oft-forgotten LucasArts project. Star Wars: 1313 did not reach store shelves, but at least The Clone Wars has given some detail as to what fans were in for.
