Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actor Sam Witwer teases Darth Maul's hallway sequence isn't over. Created by George Lucas in 2008, The Clone Wars initially aired for several seasons on Cartoon Network before switching to Netflix for season 6. That season seemed to be the end for The Clone Wars, though many fans were disappointed with its unceremonious ending. However, the creation of Disney+ also brought news that a seventh and final season of The Clone Wars would be debuting on the streaming service, thus giving the animated series a proper ending. The Clone Wars season 7 began back in February, with new episodes releasing every Friday over the following weeks. However, the final episode, titled "Victory and Death," will break ranks and arrive tomorrow, on May 4 (also known as Star Wars Day).

The seventh season of The Clone Wars has largely focused on catching up to and exploring the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sithwith the last episode explicitly using parts of Anakin's dialogue from the film. However, fans also noted a connection between another Star Wars film: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. When confronted by a squad of clones, Darth Maul uses the Force to completely obliterate them in a scene of unquestionable power. Fans were quick to compare the scene to Darth Vader's infamous hallway scene from Rogue One, when the Sith Lord mowed down a team of Rebels like it was nothing.

Those comparisons are what prompted Witwer to give the tease. While streaming on Twitch, Witwer became aware of what fans were saying and offered up a hint of what's to come (via ComicBook.com). Witwer didn't provide much details, but simply said, "Uh, guys, Maul's hallway scene is not done yet so let's wait before we compare the two, shall we?"

Darth Maul Darth Vader Hallway

Fans won't have to wait much longer to see the completion of Darth Maul's hallway battle. It will be interesting to see how it compares to Darth Vader's in the end, though Witwer's comments seem to indicate there's some notable differences. Darth Maul's intense scene wasn't the only Rogue One reference present in the most recent episode, as Ahsoka Tano used one specific line that was made popular within the standalone film.

With The Clone Wars coming to an end tomorrow, fans might be feeling a bit sad. Luckily, however, Disney is supplying plenty of Star Wars content. The most recent film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerwill arrive on Disney+ months earlier than expected, and a documentary focused on the making of The Mandalorian will also debut. The Clone Wars might be over, but, as always, Star Wars will continue on.
